I don't know whether you guys remember, but back in March I travelled all the way from the UK to see Celine in Las Vegas. I had an amazing time! I saw the show just before she broke up for her vacation and it was amazing! I was so excited to be there I even plucked up the courage to write Celine a letter and leave a gift for her at the Colosseum. I won't bore you with the full letter (which I copied so I will always be able to read what I wrote) but needless to say, I told her how proud I was to be a fan and how amazing she is and how much difference she makes to me and so many other fans! I left her a small beany-frog and added that I hoped it would bring her lots of luck for her fourth year at Caesars, her career and her family. I never expected anything in return, I just smiled to myself that Celine had received something from me! (Well I hoped so anyway!) Well today I got proof that she received it! My fiance handed me a card board envelope from Caesars Palace Colosseum! With the lovely CDA logo on it! I VERY carefully opened it and inside was an autographed photo which read: To Lisa. Love. Celine Dion xx... How flippin exciting is that!!!!! I'm in the process of getting it scanned onto my hard drive, hopefully I will be able to show you all real soon! We had a good time making one of the gifts in there. I dunno' maybe she just really appreciated the gesture that so many people who came from so far (and so many different places) would want to be generous after she was sick and cancelled all their shows..? I think she just really appreciated the kindness, the thoughts and (in some people's cases) the words they left with the gift in a situation where she knows that thousands of others are outwardly behaving in exactly the opposite manner. I'm sure your gift was lovely, Tal, and that she appreciated it! :0) Robin, you must be so excited. Kinda' wish I'd have left a note in the basket, now! Knowing that she received it and therefore had to have some sort of a reaction (more than likely super positive) to it is incredibly special. When you do things like that it's always from the heart and if anything extra comes along, that's a huge bonus. It is great to have acknowledgement or a knowingness, though, when there has been a gift received by Celine and in your case, so far, it was Michel's letting you know IN PERSON that she got it and took a gander. It is great to know that you've touched her. That must have felt amazing in itself, I'm sure! That confirmation that your gift has been accepted(as it is when you give a gift to anyone, be it a friend, acquaintence or family member) is such a magical moment and for me, it's the best part!
