Something I need to get off my chest...

This is something that I need to get off of my chest: Marie and Patty(mazceline,celinedionsfan) have PM'ed me and given my some GREAT advice. They have told me that I am a nice guy from what they have read, and that I write from the heart and that I should not compare myself to other's situation and just say what's on my mind.

 

Those girls are two of the best friends that I have made on this forum and the advice they have given me was an eye-opener. Why? Because they are always willing to give people advice who are willing to listen, like me. Thanks Marie and Patty for giving me this advice. I will take it to heart.

What you have to remember too, is that your friends can't always tell you what you want to hear, sometimes loving you means they have to tell you when you've upset them, or when they don't like something you have done..

What you did tell me, Damien is that I shouldn't try and forgive someone after they have said not to and that they don't want to have contact with me anymore. That's what you are trying to tell me. I will not forgive more than once, because I learned that if someone wants to forgive you back, you have to wait it out.

Ah, Dana, perhaps you really are not familar with the Christ you are to be following as a Christian ... when He was asked about forgiving and forgiveness ... His response was that we must forgive over and over again ... not just one time and that's it!

I really admire your honesty ... your courage to admit that you can not, at times, easily forgive ... and I do understand how very hard it is sometimes to forgive ... to overlook the hurt ... I, too, struggle with forgiving ... with letting go of grudges ... with wanting to repay a hurt with a hurt ... an unkind word with an unkind word ... and we both know that neither one of us has been nailed to a cross ... put to death in such a brutal and horrific way ... and yet He whom all Christians follow not only endured that ... but forgave those who persecuted Him ... I don't want you to think that I am picking on you or trying to upset you ... it's just that when people choose to make their beliefs public ... then they also choose to have people question both their beliefs and their actions ... you speak often about God ... and about how much you believe in God ... and I respect your beliefs ... it's just that there's more to faith and belief than just talking about it ...

In case you haven't noticed, I do not discuss my faith or my beliefs in a public forum as you do, Dana ... as for your question ... if you have read my posts ... you will have seen that when I speak about flaws, weaknesses, mistakes ... I include myself ...

my honest oppinion to too above people who really believe in god will be tested in the future , and maybe there beliefs will disapear, i believe in god fullstop and all he stands to , but think its better to keep my whole beliefs to my self, because it ends up , if you talk of it all the time, that you are preaching, and people dont need that
