Hi

I love theese songs, they are so different that any other Celine-song.And when I`m listening theese songs I think that the songs are for God.

In Call the Man , "Man" means God.Am I wrong?

And I think that It`s nothing sacred is to God to:because the lyrics, because the choir. They are gospels.I think.Am I wrong?

What do u think? :ermm:

there is no right or wrong here...what's important is what the lyrics mean to u .

I agree with thevoice. Everyone will have a different spin on what the songs mean. What matters is what they mean to you. What do you want them to be? Ah, the way of art.

I'm not sure if anyone here knows Bob Dylan's song "Mr. Tambourine Man" but the song was a subject discussed in Michelle Pfeiffer's movie "Dangerous Minds". The "Mr. Tambourine Man" in the song actually refers to a drug dealer. So when the lyrics go "Hey! Mr. Tambourine Man, play a song for me", Dylan is asking the drug dealer to provide him with some drug.

Well Celine has her own "Mr. Tambourine Man" song to herself (although she didn't write it): "Call The Man". "The Man" being the drug dealer. I actually contacted the author of the song and asked him who "The Man" was. What was the inspiration behind him. And that's what he told me.

Pretty interesting!! I'm wondering if Celine knows about that??!!

To the person who's on drug, yes, he is a healer. The song is written from that point of view.

Of course, any song is open to interpretation and could mean different things. I was just mentionning what the author, the guy who actually wrote the song, the lyrics, what his inspiration was. What he meant by "the man" in its organic form.

Just like Sarah McLachlan's "Angel". The Angel is the actual drug providing comfort and pulling one from the wreckage. That's what drugs do to drug addicts: "heal" them from their emotional pain.

Fred: Pete Sinfield wrote the lyrics and he's the one I asked so I guess you could say my source is reliable

Johannes: I have no clue what he's working on or if he'd like to work with Celine again. I didn't ask.

:whistling: :thumbsup2:
