In July 2004 ARIA wrote that Celine had 13 albums in TOP 100 CHART. So I'm missing some infos. What were peak positions for other albums in Australia (mainly French releases)?

Unison ?

D'eux ?

Live a Paris ?

S'il suffisait d'aimer ?

 

And maybe someone knows chartruns outside top50?

But 4 songs selected from Unison will find in the album "celine dion"

Right. Celine is one of the few female artists sell a lot albums and tours. That's why she's always in the top rich list.

Unison ?

 

The reason has been simple: Unison never charted outside the United States and Canada at this time of released in 1990 and 1991 (the album has been charted only in 1995 with the success of The Colour of My Love), with the exception of Norway (peaked in n.8 in 1991). The album has produced the single Where Does My Heart Beat Now and the single charted in top 10 in Canada and US, and a top forty in only 5 others countrys. Her international breakthrought has been with the theme song of Beauty and the Beast. The song charted in top 20 of many countrys (like UK, US, Canada, Australia, etc.).

 

And in 1992, Celine Dion appear for the first time in the charts albums outside the North American market. The album appear in charts in Japan (May 1992), in Australia (August 1992) and in New Zealand (November 1992, only in one week). The most remarquable has been in Australia, the album received a Gold cetification 6 months after his released (in december 1992), push by a deluxe CD released in september (including a bonus CD with the four singles of Unison) and also, due of the success of Beauty and the Beast.

So because the self-titled has been entring two times: the original CD peaked in n.82 and Sony released a double CD of this album in september 1992 (including a bonus CD with all the singles of Unison) and this CD peaked in n.15.

 

Ans the info: the Self-titled has been certified Gold in 17 december 1992 in Australia, Celine received this Gold certification when Céline has been in press conference in Canada.
