A New Day's, la petite rose

It seems from all the reviews of A New Day, (my own included) someone, at the end always gets that wonderful rose from Celine. What I have noticed is that it is not always a person in the front row or even in the front orchestra. That leaves out a special V.I.P. guest as always being the recipient. So who are you? the one who will get the rose? What makes you special?

 

My conjecture is that during the show, she peers into the audience, gazing into peoples eyes and souls. Then, someone whom she has observed, whom has moved her, someone who was really moved by the show, that lucky person gets the prize. It may not always be that way, but certainly some of the time. That would explain why AA does not always get the prize.

I think it's a 50/50 shot. I think half the time she has to give it to a high-roller or wants to give it "special guest," such as someone with cancer or whatnot. Just my thought.

Yeah, it's either given to a friend of hers, or if there is nobody else she'll give it to a old woman/man or a very young girl/boy.

I think occasionally she gives it to people who maybe frustrate her a little or who seem not even into it-- not because they are high rollers or what not but because she hopes to see their attitudes change.

 

I've kind of always imagined that while she is onstage she kind of observes people and maybe wonders what is going on in their lives that they don't get up and dance or that they seem to be 'unpresent' at the show at all.

 

Maybe it isn't so much that she wants to 'show' people who are kinda' jerks at the show but maybe it's that she has the genuine interest and worry about what might have made them so late to show up half way through the show.

 

Anyway, my point is that I think sometimes she gives it to people to see if it changes their attitude. Kind of a kill them with kindness sort of class.

 

But otherwise I think she gives it to people that she establishes a strong connection with, people that she senses something is going on with, people who she feels need and deserve it and people who in general please her and make she and others in the show and audience have a good time.

 

I don't think that it is random at all.

I think 90% of the time she gives it to the: elderly, sick, pregnant, and children (probably because she identifies with these ppl she has respect for her elders, she had a sick neice/husband, she loved her prganancy, and she loves children...I know a lot of ppl identify with the same things, but Celine has strong feelings about all of it)

 

 

... as far as I know, it's only front row...I never heard of anyone who hasn't been in front row to receive it...anyone know of someone not in 1st row to get it?

Yes, Mego's mother got the rose few days ago. She sat in the 10th something row.

I think it's all aranged she give the rose to people to has to - vip guest etc. , people she has a strong connection with etc.

I think Celine decides with her dancer ( the one in white!!!) who gets the rose that night. And sometimes they give away 2 roses! Mostly the rose goes to old or very young or sick people, VIP guests, relatives of the dancers, musicians etc.

I also heard that one time a lady who turned 50 in the show got the rose, while she was on 3rd row!

 

I never got the rose, i wish i could one day!!!!
