My sister had a cassette of FIY a year or two before I got my first Celine cd, so I heard some of her voice before I got LTAL (when my sister would let me into her room! not as good sounding on a cassette by the way...). But it was the film, Titanic, that drew me in to hear her clear, vibrant, rich, (addictive) voice. I fell in love with every song on LTAL. I bought it because of the Titanic craze, but I think I ultimately fell for "The Reason." I love all of Celine's songs, but I always say that one is my favorite because I have some kind of connection with it. Lots of memories! ...the first tiiiiiiime...ever I heard...her...voice... I love you Celine! Thank you so very much! My mom bought me a CD player for christmas when I was very young, and she bought me TCOML with it... along with a few others that I unwrapped after that CD. I didn't know who Celine was. I had to ask my mom what she bought me. She played a song, and I vaguely recognized her, but I wasn't very interested. A few days after Christmas, our house was broken into. All of my CD's were stolen. After that, my mom (with insurance money) bought back many of the CDs. I didn't care to get TCOML back. Apparently my mom loved it, so she bought the cassette tape for herself to listen to in her car. Years later when I was about 16, I became suddenly infatuated with Celine. I remembered that my mom had TCOML cassette, so I took it from her and listened to it so many times that the cassette literally broke. I have been entranced ever since. Last year I won the TeamCeline contest where you choose your favorite Celine CD, send it to Celine, and she'll sign it and send it back. I was a young boy in middle school then and had no idea about French music. It was not until half a year later when I heard "the colour of my love" on the radio did I realise that "OMG, she does sing English songs too!"
