Do you know how to keep slim like Celine?

:xmas_smile: Hello! I'm very worry with my looks right now. Could you guys help me? Do you know about how Celine keep slim even though she has a baby already? Please recommend me some useful tips that Celine uses and also your own tips if you have! (Food and exercising!)

SERIOUSLY, I eat like one and a half meals a day and still am not THAT thin... it's a F***ing conspiracy I tell ya! (but I won't complain cause I'm not really over-weight... just have a small bit of excess that keeps me from haivng the perfect figure that I want :pinch: :evil: )

Celine doesn't have a special diet, she has said she eats anything and everything she wants and doesn't gain a pound! GAH... it makes me mad... LOL. :P

Now now! Celine's habits are catching up with her as she gets older... she's gained a slight bit of weight over the past year or so... :whistling1: :lmao:

i really envy those people who has high metabolism...they get to eat whatever they want and still stay thin...like my dratted sisters :xmas_dry:

she has been always thin.It's a question of luck hehe

However she practises yoga.I don't think yoga makes you lose weight,but maybe it helps if you eat the correct things.

 

Umm..i imagin René eating pork and cakes all day lol

Well you could start with having the stress of being an international superstar, being followed constantly by adoring (sometimes critical) fans and harsh press and paparrazzi. Then you would be having a highly strenuous show which you have to perform for one and a half hours 5 times a week. When not doing shows, you will be doing other performances and rehearsing new material. In between shows you will be running around after a lively 4/5 year old child. Even though you will do your best to maintain a well balanced diet you will have to avoid calorie-loaded dairy products, as these can clog up your vocal chords with pesky and disgusting mucus! Oh and just when you think you have a couple of weeks off to lounge around on the sofa and let the pounds pile on, you wil be travelling half way across the world to promote a new album!

 

Seriously, when ever Celine's schedule has relaxed a bit she has put on a little bit of weight, but she is quite tall, has a small frame and quite possibly a fairly high metabolism. Not a really high metabolism, as she wouldn't be able to maintain the schedules she has and remain healthy. But, trust me, if you were doing all the stuff she has to do, you'd be in pretty good shape too! And just think, all that dancing on stage has got to be doing her figure wonders! Remember all the training she had to do to be strong enough to do the show? She has to be fit and slim or she would really struggle with the routines.

Well, believe the girl who has made a lot of stupid mistakes with food.

Stop eating is definately or just eating a little not the way of getting slim like Celine. The secret is: eat healthy food. Don't have sugary stuff, no chocolate, no cookies, anything with sugar, no fast-food, no fries, no coke and other sugary drinks.... you know this. Take away all the trash and eat everything that's healthy and light, drink A LOT of water.

And, yes, of course, exercise, like walking or running or something else you like.

 

As for Celine gaining weight, I think she looks better than ever. Now I look at her and realise how skinny she is. She looks healthy.

 

Oh and René, he looks a lot slimmer in person and he has definately lost some weight, especially if you look back at his pics in 97/98. I mean, it is quite impossible for him to get thin at this stage of his life. But he doesn't need it. He is sexy anyways :wub: :wub:

Some people are lucky to stay thin all the time, even if they eat whatever they want. I am the same as Celine, i always have been skinny... and i love food!!!! I am a dancer, so i exercise a lot too.

But if you want to loose weight to get more in shape, just avoid all the unhealthy things like fries, cookies, candy, coke. And most important find a sport you want to do... you can start with walking every day. Or take the stairs instead of the elevator. Go cycling! It's not that you can never eat unhealthy things, sometimes you just NEED to eat a cake, so then just do it and enjoy it, but do not over eat!!!

 

Be happy with yourself, not everybody is slim, but it doens't mean that if you're not slim you aren't beautiful! :xmas_biggrin:

I've heard that the atkins diets aren't really good coz all our magazines criticize it a lot.

 

My aunt is on a diet, her diet is from the book "Beverly Hills Diet" and she's been on it now for a week and she's lost 2kg. Oh, and you have to walk 10, 000 steps a day and drink 2 Litres of water everyday.

 

Never eat less than 3 meals a day, you're suppose to have 5 meals a day, because you'll only cause harm to your body ... yes you may lose weight but eventually you will be starving yourself and your body will then store any fat that you do eat in that one meal and will continue to store it in case you don't eat again. Starving yourself also results in your muscles being eaten away coz there is no fat or food to run on.

 

If you are feeling a little hungry rather grab a fruit to eat. And try to eat vegetables raw so that you still get the protein and minerals. Cutting out meat should also help coz meat takes a few days to leave your system, whereas it takes about 20 minutes for an apple to leave your system. For breakfast rather eat All bran flakes to coco pops because it has more starch in it, it will keep you fuller for longer.

 

I'm a very fussy eater and i only eat chicken and no other meat and i don't eat most vegetables, so i could lose weight on what i do eat provided that it's not all fatty foods.

 

Most of all you have to remember to eat the correct amount of foods everyday from the correct food groups, i take Home Economics but for the life of me i cannot remember the proportions off hand. I know the 6 food groups are: Milk and milk products, meat and meat products, Wheat and cereal, fats and oils, fruit and vegetables and i cannot remember the last one.

I think Celine has a naturally good metabolism for being thin and I think she eats fairly healthy anyways. I remember a few years back she was accused of being anorexic, although I really don't think that was ever true. When performers go on tour they usually tend to lose weight anyways. When I saw her in concert this year I thought she looked great. She may have gained a tiny bit of weight but she's still in great condition and I think looks better now than ever. I remember reading in one of her biographies how she was saying that Rene loves to eat alot and she said she is lucky because when she is full she really does not want to eat anymore, like he does (or did). Some people have the "skinny" metablolisms.

 

Unfortunatley I am NOT one of those people. I gain weight if I just look at a cookie!

my uncle did the atkins diet and lost loads of weight, (don't know about the smelly breath tho) :lmao:

How tall is Celine? I am curious.

I know the Atkins diet works. You just have to follow the instructions carefully. I know people who did it, it works. I think the problem I heard of is that people stayed on the first phase way too long. You're only supposed to do do the first phase for 2 weeks I think. Also, stay away from sugar.

I drink more than 8 glasses of water each day. I am slim and I credit it to drinking lots and lots of water everyday and not eating sugar (I use Stevia extract if you heard of that instead) It's a very good substitute for sugar. Also, I don't eat much meat because it takes too long to digest so it's better to have a vegetarian type of diet IMO. I do not work out very much but am very active and I don't just sit around too much. I am usually on the go. I think that makes a big difference also. I agree with people above that said to drink water, eat like a vegetarian and stay away from sugar. Also, try to eat organic or natural foods and stay away from preservatives. I used to get stomach aches almost everytime I ate a meal before I switched to all natural foods. Now I don't have them anymore. My oldest brother can eat anything he wants and never gains weight but also he almost never sits down. I think maybe he is too thin but he has always been that way. He's the only one in my family like that. I guess everybody's different though.

I did this diet a few years ago, and lost 15 pounds in about 6 weeks plus, then gained it all back plus more when I went back to eating carbohydrates. Also, my brother in law was on it for quite a while...and went crazy eating all the cheese, beef, etc, that he wanted. He ended up having 2 heart attacks about ayear later....So maybe it was hard on his heart/cholesterol. Just a thought. :sick:
