celinefanonline Posted September 2, 2005 at 02:10 AM Posted September 2, 2005 at 02:10 AM here's what i found on celineonline.com La sortit du DVD 'A New Day' prévu depuis l'année dernière fut annulé par Céline Dion elle-même. Elle a affirmée avoir annulée la sortit du concert en raison de la coupe de cheveux (court et blond) qu'elle portait à l'époque. Céline prend ENFIN des décision lorsqu'il est question de son image! i sort of know what it mean.. like ANDLILV dvd was supoose to released last year but was canceled by Celine herself due to her dislike of her short and blonde hair at that time....... can someone translate this better for me thanks... oh my i really dont' like it..... it's sossosososoosos pity to cancel it...since it's already done long time ago...... i know i know most people don't like the hair too, but i feel so pity of this....... and they put a lot of money and time into this dvd... and now.... it's just like waste.....i want this dvd i dont' care about the hair..cause when i was there (after they filmed the dvd) Celine's hair look so old..... just like the one when she performed in Eddy's tribute concert.... dolores Posted September 2, 2005 at 02:13 AM Posted September 2, 2005 at 02:13 AM i don't care about her hair too Quote http://img4.hostingpics.net/pics/478226kiss.gif "Musically, I always allow myself to jump off of cliffs. At least that's what it feels like to me.Whether that's what it actually sounds like might depend on what the listener brings to the songs."

celinefanonline Posted September 2, 2005 at 02:42 AM Author Posted September 2, 2005 at 02:42 AM well now they only can impress me by the better quality of the dvd concert... if it's just like the one from the new tralier than no i don't like it, the quality is not as good as the bonde hair one.... Quote Courage don't you dare fail me now!
Koolan Posted September 2, 2005 at 02:48 AM Posted September 2, 2005 at 02:48 AM I don't mind waiting for a better quality version with long hair. There are superior technologies to capture the magic and realism of this concert, DVD won't do it justice. I really hope Sony puts this in High Definition format with DD 5.1, up to 5 times clearer than DVD Quote Please support the forum by ordering through our Amazon.com referral link below. piglot82 Posted September 2, 2005 at 06:10 AM Posted September 2, 2005 at 06:10 AM I don't mind waiting either. If Celine wasn't happy with it I would really want it. Knowing what a perfectionist she is, I'm sure the DVD will be amazing when it is finally done. Quote http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b119/Piglot82/heartsig1.jpg
Victorine Posted September 2, 2005 at 06:12 AM Posted September 2, 2005 at 06:12 AM Translation:The releasing date of the DVD A New Day... planned last year was cancelled by Celine Dion herself. She assured the cancel of the release of the DVD because of her haircut (blond and short) at that time. Celine FINALLY makes decisions about her image! Quote
canadianpower Posted September 2, 2005 at 06:39 AM Posted September 2, 2005 at 06:39 AM Speaking honstely, I don't want to have a DVD with this hair-style ... I hate it. But does that mean, there will be no new DVD one day with longer hair? Krys Posted September 2, 2005 at 08:43 AM Posted September 2, 2005 at 08:43 AM i dont care about the hair...i hope they release the DVD soon...whether Celine has short and blonde or long and brown i will still try to buy it Quote
Cambroneroj Posted September 2, 2005 at 01:53 PM Posted September 2, 2005 at 01:53 PM I think the real reason why it was canceled was due to the extension, not of Celine's hair needed but the show aditional year contract she signed last year, im sure executives wanted to keep people coming to see the show and not buying it on a dvd , even tho i heard rene talking about him liking Celine with long brown hair since she looks very feminine and better that way , just what i think but who knows the real reason. Scout Posted September 3, 2005 at 08:00 AM Posted September 3, 2005 at 08:00 AM NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! They should release it or make another!!! Quote
Mozinha Posted September 3, 2005 at 08:13 AM Posted September 3, 2005 at 08:13 AM If Celine is not confident or happy about it, I'm glad she canceled. I wouldn't want a DVD that she did not like herself. This shows great professionalism from her. fred Posted September 3, 2005 at 11:03 PM Posted September 3, 2005 at 11:03 PM (edited) But why?? I mean the short and blone look wasn't her best, but it differed too. Sometimes it didn't look so good (Whayne Brandy interview Divas Duets) and other times it looked really good 100th Show Anniversary and at the time the DVD was shot and at another occasion before the premiere I think it was almost to her shoulders not at all as short as the opening night.... Besides her looks differ when having long brown hair too aswell, so when's the right time to release a DVD? I don't like it when it's flat and dull - I adore it when it's curly and with lots of high lights, she never looked better than in '02 not to mention the Goodbye's The Saddest Word video!!! /fred Edited September 3, 2005 at 11:03 PM by fred Quote Peace and love to all.

Ethan Posted September 19, 2005 at 11:36 PM Posted September 19, 2005 at 11:36 PM (edited) Didn't Céline say many times in 2003 that she loves her, back then, "new hair"? I think René, not Céline, is the one who didn't like the short blond hair. And now to please her husband, Céline says she didn't like that hair either. / Ethan Edited September 19, 2005 at 11:40 PM by Ethan Quote http://www.myfilehut.com/userfiles/20444/signature.jpgThe true mystery of the world is the visible, not the invisible. - Oscar WildeThanks to ByuSmurf for the image

Ethan Posted September 20, 2005 at 01:26 AM Posted September 20, 2005 at 01:26 AM (edited) It's all René. Céline doesn't care about such things. In the next issue of Now Magazine there's an article about Céline: After her husbands battle with cancer, Celine Dion has learned that looks, image and clothes don’t mean a thing and thinks we’d all be better off in the buff. Celine Dion’s greatest fantasy is to appear naked on stage in front of millions of her fans. But that’s not all. ‘Oh no’, she says, “I’d really like my audience to be naked too”. It isn’t the sort of remark that you’d expect from the woman who has always seemed to be one of the primmest performers in pop, but Celine has more to say on the subject, “I wish we were all naked all of the time, “she says, warming to her theme, “my reasons are very simple, I get so sick of the way we’ve become obsessed with image. Today everything’s always about looks, good looks and fashionable clothes are the most important things.” She rolls her eyes,” it’s all just nonsense. I’ve always believed it’s what’s underneath that counts. If we were all forced to be naked then perhaps we would start to see that a little bit more.” It’s a scary thought but Celine seems quite convinced. She nods, “when I first started in this business, people took one look at me and said it wouldn’t happen. They didn’t even wait to hear me sing, they judged me entirely by what I looked like, my hair, my clothes, my face.” “I’m very aware that I have never been considered cool, or trendy as an artist. Maybe I still don’t wear the right clothes. The good thing now is that I really don’t care any more. As long as my fans enjoy my music and I’m happy in myself, my life and my music, that’s all the truly concerns me”. While she’s never been as edgy or exciting as Madonna or Jennifer Lopez, Celine has beaten them hands down when it comes to shifting records; - she’s officially the biggest selling female artist of all time. She’s also the highest earner, with an estimated personal fortune of £500 million.Source: http://www.celinemaniacs.com/December2002.html / Ethan Edited September 20, 2005 at 01:29 AM by Ethan Quote http://www.myfilehut.com/userfiles/20444/signature.jpgThe true mystery of the world is the visible, not the invisible. - Oscar WildeThanks to ByuSmurf for the image

Javito_old Posted September 20, 2005 at 09:56 AM Posted September 20, 2005 at 09:56 AM (edited) Or we could have had 2 DVD's of A New Day, one at the beggining of the show (the one that was supposed to be released in 2004) and other version for the end of the show (the one that will be released (¡finally! ) in 2007... It would have been just GREAT to compare the show when it started and its evolution when it finished, the different tracklisting and obviously Céline's different hair looks through the show I don't see any problem with this, but yes, the answer will always be: Sony. (or I must say Céline in this case? ) Edited September 20, 2005 at 09:57 AM by Javito Quote
