"One Heart, One Voice World Tour"

Recommended Posts

Posted (edited)

One of Céline's most underrated albums is One Heart. This gem of a release was overshadowed by the enormity of Céline's Las Vegas show, A New Day..., and failed to earn the recognition it deserved.

Filled with many infectious songs and emotional ballads a world tour for this album could have been amazing. If given the chance when One Heart was released what 22 songs should have been included in this tour? What would you have titled this tour? Below you will see my choices for what could have been for the American leg of the tour.

"One Heart, One Voice World Tour"

1. "I Drove All Night"

2. "Unison (Single Mix With Rap)" with Frankie Fudge part on video screens

Céline talks about coming back from her hiatus, R.C., and other family things.

3. "A New Day Has Come (Radio Remix)"

4. "I Know What Love Is"

5. "The Power Of Love"

Céline talks about her marriage with Rene and the journey they've been through together

6. "Ce n'était qu'un rêve"

7. Seduction Medley: "Seduces Me"/"Naked"/"Reveal"

Costume Change

8. "I Surrender"

9. "To Love You More"

10. "My Heart Will Go On"

Costume Change

11. "Love Can Move Mountains" - Version in which Céline introduces the band

12. "Love Is All We Need"

13. "Just A Little Bit Of Love"

14. "Then You Look At Me"

Costume Change

15. "Where Does My Heart Beat Now"

16. "Have You Ever Been In Love"

17. "Because You Loved Me" with images of the audience on the screens

Costume Change

18. "Sorry For Love" - A mix between the A New Day Has Come version and the One Heart version

19. "When The Wrong One Loves You Right"

20. "That's The Way It Is" with a slightly altered instrumentation to include more of a "bang" to the song

Céline exits the stage

Encore

21. "I'm Alive"

22. "One Heart"

Discuss!

Hi Joe, I almost totally agree with you except that I would put I'm Alive just before LCMM and finish the whole concert off with One Heart and River Deep Mountain High. Awesome idea though - shame it never happened!

I absolutely love that. The seduction medley, lol. I would kill to see her sing all the stuff from One Heart live.

Heck, forget the tour, I'd just love to have the songs from the CD available on karaoke so I can sing them! LOL

I love "Love Is All We Need", "Naked" (I love embarrassing my teenagers by singing that one while they have friends over and hamming it up), and "Coulda Woulda Shoulda". I have a friend who still requests that I sing "I Drove All Night" when we go karaoke singing.

I think what was disappointing about the CD was the re-releases of "Have You Ever Been In Love" and "Sorry For Love". Other than that, yes it was a really good CD. I think it showed Céline turning toward a more Rock-sound.

Oh yeah, if you can find a way to segue the seduction medley together, I'd LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE the instrumental track!!!

Anyways, my two cents' worth. . . ~~Bren

This album was thrown together to support its one solid track - "I Drove All Night". There are repeat tracks - and rush-job tracks. Besides Miracle, its the lowest quality album Celine has ever released.

With that said - I do find it to be a refreshing album at times. I enjoy the different sound of her voice. However - "I Drove All Night" should have been released as a single with maybe two bonus tracks. Not an entire album. And certainly not a tour to support it. -_-

...But I think the idea is clever...

OMG that's a great idea!

Seeing as the setlist is mostly One Heart up-tempo songs, I think You and I and Aint Gonna Look The Other Way would easily fit in, as well as River Deep Mountain High...

I agree it would be a great show, and I actually really enjoy the One Heart album. However, I feel the two encore songs would fall a little weak. It's not just die-hard fans that go to Celine Dion concerts, so it's important that to end on a high it should be a song that everyone will be able to recognise and enjoy. That is why MHWGO works so well. I agree with what other people have said in that RDMH would be a good choice.

Great setlist(besides TPOL/TLYM/MHWGO/BYLM which need to die horrible and painful deaths :lmao:), that would've been an awesome tour! I usually don't like medleys, but the Seduction Medley sounds like a great idea! Edited by Lymon

Howdy...I toyed around with the idea of "River Deep, Mountain High" in the setlist I created. Ultimately, though, "Just A Little Bit Of Love" won out. I've wanted to see this song performed live ever since Let's Talk About Love was released.

Thats so cool but the what IFS will us

Happy New Year to you too!

I love how you even planned her speeches :giggle:

Ha ha, thanks. I figure since it's usually typed that way on her roster why not do it here? LOL

I absolutely love that. The seduction medley, lol. I would kill to see her sing all the stuff from One Heart live.

Gotta spice things up!

Agreed! :thumbsup2:

"You And I" could work great for a tour. The only reson I didn't include it here is because the song hadn't been released yet when One Heart dropped. Although, the song could have been put into the tour later on after it was released. I'm thinking it could have been made to be the first song and then have "I Drove All Night" be moved somewhere else.

I agree that "My Heart Will Go On" does work well as the finale, but I wanted to try something a bit different. It becomes a bit too predictable to have it as the last song. The way I created the list above allowed the first and last song to be ones from the album the tour would have been promoting. This would then help the audience to remember to buy it later on.

Also, the reason I put "I'm Alive" as one of the encore songs is because I could "hear" Céline humming after a massive video montage. The crowd would then go nuts realizing the show is actually not over. Then I decided to have "One Heart" be the closing song due to it being the name of the tour, the song being uptempo, and the meaning behind the lyrics being that of a positive nature.

Great setlist(besides TPOL/TLYM/MHWGO/BYLM which need to die horrible and painful deaths :lmao:), that would've been an awesome tour! I usually don't like medleys, but the Seduction Medley sounds like a great idea!

I agree that I am a bit done (for now) with "Because You Loved Me" and "The Power Of Love." However, these are two major Céline numbers that are practically a "must" for any concert she puts on now.

Oh my goodness! That sounds like an amazing concert! Oh how I wish that really happened! I really love how you planned her speeches and costume changes, it sounds like a fantastic concert.

One of the costumes I envisioned was one where it would be black and gray and sort of beat up and tattered. This is the costume that would be worn for "Love Is All We Need."

'

When I'm feeling down

The mention of your name

It lifts my spirit up.

It makes me carry on,

When I don't have the strength

Your faith can heal me.

Like the sun that shines

You gave me light to see.'

I've had an idea. :xmas_w00t: To make MHWGO more exciting they should do an acapella/acoustic version that sounds a bit like this:

http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=oVSMELWpJ8U&...feature=related

That would be really cool as the song sounds quite nice without all the instruments. What do you think?
