madisonjuice Posted November 17, 2007 at 04:02 AM Author Posted November 17, 2007 at 04:02 AM Well this is not verbatim but she says that she does not agree with the war and war is not the solution especially when you see no results and that it would break her heart if RC ever decided to fight for his country but she would support him. She also kept saying how much this war scares her. celine the power of my dream Posted November 17, 2007 at 10:39 AM Posted November 17, 2007 at 10:39 AM Thank you for the link. This was a sincere and great interview where you see the real Céline. Normaly I don't like it so much when she is talking about normal life etc because she talks about it so much but in this one I really liked it. Many new artist today and also likes of Britney Spears can learn from this. lyn Posted November 17, 2007 at 11:40 PM Posted November 17, 2007 at 11:40 PM (edited) Wow I'm halfway through this, and I think, for me, it's the best interview I've ever seen with Celine. She's insightful, really giving very personal answers, hardly prepared ones, and it's coming straight from her heart and straight from her very personal perspective. Kind of amazing to see, after having watched so many others that were well, maybe over rehearsed, as she tends to like to do them. I feel really priveleged getting to watch this interview, and getting to really know heR, especially her views on how she's trying to provide a balanced life for RC and how her childhood shaped her. Really one of the best interviews, or the best. céline is so..so normal..I don't know how to express myself and what I felt as I was watching it..she's so mature,so grounded,so humble,so smart..she's so precious..she's a wonderful person..she's true..this is what amazes me the most..she's so rich inside..she can teach us a lot of thing hear hear! I think Celine should.. grow faith in the fact that who she iS, is not some uncool or unprepared brand new celebrity or anything.. Celine should just feel ready to express herself like this always. She really appears amazingly smart and mature in this interview.. why does she always try to portray the contrary? =p Anyways. The honesty of this interview is just really good to watch. lyn Posted November 17, 2007 at 11:53 PM Posted November 17, 2007 at 11:53 PM ^ it's just the video that plays immediately when you click on the link. I think the thing is that up until this point, all we've ever heard from her are the exaggerated externalities of these dreams of hers, clotheslines and tomatoes and all, and it's always been fairly amusing to the point of tiresome sometimes, and.. i'm glad to know just how deeply and strongly she feels about these things and why.. that where they come from, who they come from, is a rich and mature woman indeed. Elaine Posted November 18, 2007 at 01:33 PM Posted November 18, 2007 at 01:33 PM Thanks for the tips! I finally got to watch it! It was fantastic! Some part of that interview made me think about an article we had here last week that was probably misinterpreted when translated... Maybe they wrote based on that interview.I love the part when she says she didn't use to live in a bed and René is treated like a prince. Céline is the cutest!! She won't do that. She'll pay for someone to do itas she watches Disney Channel with RC. So true. Apart from a few bursts of activity -- namely the recording of TC and the recent promotion -- Celine normally works just a few hours a day. Most people who do their own cooking and laundry work more than that. So, if she really wants to do these things, what's stopping her now? If I was a tenth as fabulously wealthy as Celine, I wouldn't even dream of doing my own cooking and cleaning. I can see why she admires her mum for her homemaking prowess, and I can sort of understand why she romanticizes this stuff. But, it's been almost a decade since she started talking about doing her own cooking and picking her own tomatoes. Surely she doesn't really believe it anymore, does she? Quote

Shaun Posted November 18, 2007 at 10:40 PM Posted November 18, 2007 at 10:40 PM I have to say that is a quite incredible interview. Kudos to the interviewer for asking some different questions and challenging Celine's answers and credit to Celine for not giving the usual scripted responses and being more honest than she's ever been. That was a riveting watch. Quote Bringing you the world's only Celine Dion podcast show since 2014.Find us on Soundcloud, Apple Podcasts, Spotify & Amazon Music.
