AUG 17th (quick) REVIEW - AMAZING!

OMG, tonight was amazing. We were in for an unexpected surprise

 

We sat in AA401 and 402 as we won the auction that Ticketmaster ran thru August 13th; and that was my second time seating in those particular seats. There was a teenage girl in AA405 with her mother. Right before the show started the lady came up to her and i overheard her saying that she works for Celine and those are gifts for her. There was a giant Celine logo bag and inside was a frog (a girl's mom was holding it the whole show), a Celine top, a Delles CD and maybe something else. The assistant also said that Celine will meet her after the show. She was the only one who Celine pretty much concentrated on during the whole show. The girl cried when Celine came out and kept looking at Celine thru binoculars. At that point i didn't know that she is partially (?) blind and she got set up to see Celine thru her mother's friends. She got the rose.

 

In any case, the show is still the same. Celine's hair looked a little lighter but i wouldn't say it was blonder. At the end of IS she didn't yell "YEAH" out at all and the song kinda ended with a long note. Also for MHWGO her hair was just falling on her shoulders and not pinned up with a fancy sparkly pin like it normally is. Celine looked and sang amazing.

After MHWGO noone came for a final bow and Celine was just standing there. I was surprised to see that she is not going away. And then she started saying that normally this is where the show ends but tonight she is MAKING AN EXCEPTION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Since it is Elvis's death anniversary ysterday, she sang one for him, "can't help falling in love with you". And then Celine started singing ACAPELLA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OMG!!! I was shivering in my chair. it was INCREDIBLE!! AMAZINHG!! ONCE IN A LIFE TIME EXPERIENCE!!!! And then in the middle of the song the band kicked in and Celine was doing all kinds of tricks with her voice. UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!

And they were taping it. I wonder if they will use it for DVD.

 

On my way out of the Colosseums garage, i looked outside my car window and saw Mego and his wife in a convertible outside my window. I yelled at him "Mego, great job!!!" and gave him thumbs up. He smiled and said Thank you.

 

Ahh, I just love shows like this with surprises. Can't wait what the Final show will bring. Going tomorrow and Sunday again to see Celine for 19th and 20th times respectively. What a treat to see our beautiful Celine. She sounds great!!!

Nope, no word about the album. For a sec there right before she started singing, i thought she will singing If i can dream and then she totally blew me away leaving me with a jaw hanging down to the floor. the camera was on me so i hope i didn't look stupid. Lol

Oh, and i FORGOT to add that she show didn't go on with crazys in there too. After Celine's first speech i heard a half drunk old lady's voice adressing LOUDLY (well, as loud as she could i guess) " I EVEN MANAGED TO DRAG GEORGE HERE..." I think she was in Orch 4 EE or FF. God, these people!!!

i think that she had not pinned hair during MHWGO because she wanted to look differently than it's always because it'll be at least in Elvis documentary and maybe on A New Day... dvd

Great News! If it's being taped for a ABC Special Than maybe Celine will include it in the DVD b/c she has control of these things... And if they have A delated song EXTRA section on the DVD for songs that were cut off the show it might be added in there if there is extra space my guess is they will include

2. At Last

3. What a wonderful world

4. Nature Boy

5 the First Time Ever I saw Your Face

6. In some small way

7. Et Jetaime Encore

8. Cant Help Falling In Love

 

or at least i pray they will include those songs as EXTRAS

I absolutely lerved hearing that song live. I had wanted to for so many years and got such a wonderful surprise that night. At the end I was so overawed I didn't even think about giving a standing ovation, I had just lept out of my seat shouting and cheering! lol Absolutley AMAZING!

I've got tears in my eyes just by reading your review Diana! I keep on imagining if I were there listening to her singing it live... I'd cry like a new-born baby! lol I just love that song and I'd love to see her singing live...

It makes me wonder what kind of surprise we'll have for the very last show...
