stevo Posted February 5, 2007 at 11:53 PM Posted February 5, 2007 at 11:53 PM I'd go for raw Celine- ABM @ Billboards and prob TT @ WMAs. ISSW @ Leno is amazing also- prob her best since 2001 IMO. join in and relive the memories! Quote
Zora Posted February 6, 2007 at 12:35 AM Posted February 6, 2007 at 12:35 AM (edited) Sorry for adding to your list but my faves are Call the Man in Montreal in 1996, it's the most stunningly beautiful thing I've ever heard and it shows her talent so well, her facial expressions show she's just so into it. The end part makes me turn to goo...that high note! Youtube and that medley she did of First Time I Ever Saw Your Face, Tears In heaven and Because by the Beatles (think that's what it's called), but think they've deleted it from YouTube was really rare. Think Twice at WMA's is heart meltingly awesome too, the changing of even just a few noted makes it so much better than the recorded version. They're my top 3 anyway! Macaronie Posted February 6, 2007 at 09:28 AM Posted February 6, 2007 at 09:28 AM I'd got for Can't help falling in love from this list. I love LBDB live, alot, but my fave would be the one from Juno's http://youtube.com/watch?v=HfMsmANUR6U Quote
Incognito_0112 Posted February 6, 2007 at 10:58 AM Posted February 6, 2007 at 10:58 AM I just love the ICHFILWY from the colour of my love concert. This was the first video I bought of Celine and I nearly fell off the chair when I saw it. I loved that she performed it again at the Divas Las Vegas. thevoice Posted February 6, 2007 at 11:04 AM Posted February 6, 2007 at 11:04 AM what a strange list what about GBA - tribute to heroes , that was a much better performance of this song...not to mention many other performances that r not part of this list .i think it's impossible to put in 1 poll all of her performances...u could do a poll based on the era tho , like 2002 - til now.... or 1996 - 1999 Quote
Céline's Blues Posted February 6, 2007 at 11:08 AM Posted February 6, 2007 at 11:08 AM Did she ever sing LCMM @ the Billboard awards? Quote http://i.imgur.com/dmreJ.jpg

stevo Posted February 6, 2007 at 11:12 AM Author Posted February 6, 2007 at 11:12 AM Yeah thanks Seb for destroying my list- I meant at the WMAs lol...and I meant this list to be totally random- I just thought it's a nice mix of ery different performances, and, as eeryone here could fight to the death over what constitutes 'good' from Celine, I thought it would be interessant. Céline's Blues Posted February 6, 2007 at 11:15 AM Posted February 6, 2007 at 11:15 AM Well, stevo, I didn't mean to haha nothing's destroyed. Just checking cuzz I bet there are few performances I still have no idea of. I am waiting for the live Oscar performance to tell...buuuut out them all I think "Dance Wis My Fazer" was the most moving. They were all vocally excellent anyway, she's always vocally top notch. LVCeline Posted February 6, 2007 at 02:42 PM Posted February 6, 2007 at 02:42 PM That is quite an odd selection of songs, hehe. My pick out of those is surely LBDB from Live a Paris. That's one of her finest moments, and will never be repeated. She sung that song with such power, and yet it came effortlessly. We heard how she sings that song nowadays, and even though she was sick that day, the difference is still there. It was just so amazing back then. She wasn't nasally, she wasn't throaty, it was just perfect. Quote

celinedionsfan Posted February 7, 2007 at 10:08 AM Posted February 7, 2007 at 10:08 AM (edited) Oh Stevo! Celine didn't sing with Jessica! Oh my LOVE, Stevo is absolutely correct. Jessica was one of the singers who sang with Celine when she did God Bless America aboard the ship. Celine did an amazing job. The only flaw in that song were the rest of the singers, particularly Ms Simpson who attempted to match the power of Celine's voice and did nothing more than scream. What makes the song so good in my opinion was not it's perfection ... because it wasn't perfect ... but the emotion in Celine's voice ...
