gymnast2012 Posted August 6, 2006 at 02:05 AM Posted August 6, 2006 at 02:05 AM I happen to like a very wide variety of music, especially female singers. Im not saying this because im a fan, but i think out of every female singer ever, celine's voice is just unparallel. In my opinion she is the greatest female vocalist in history. I have always wanted her to make a song just showcasing the true power she possesses. Since no song like that exists, which would u say is her best song vocally wise. Power, length of notes, etc. Thanks Quote

gymnast2012 Posted August 6, 2006 at 02:58 AM Author Posted August 6, 2006 at 02:58 AM thanks for the reccomendation. Do you guys know what i mean about her making a song showing what shes truely made of. 100% raw talent. a song that would set a new standard for what female vocalists should strive to be. Quote
bgcalde Posted August 6, 2006 at 03:53 AM Posted August 6, 2006 at 03:53 AM I think all by myself, i surrender, river deep mountain high, the power of love....Nonetheless, songs like miles to go, je crois toi or pour que tu m'aimes encore are for me vocally perfect, maybe not as powerful as the before mentioned ones, but maybe more expressive than impressive Quote
celinedrop Posted August 6, 2006 at 04:21 AM Posted August 6, 2006 at 04:21 AM I think all by myself, i surrender, river deep mountain high, the power of love....Nonetheless, songs like miles to go, je crois toi or pour que tu m'aimes encore are for me vocally perfect, maybe not as powerful as the before mentioned ones, but maybe more expressive than impressive<{POST_SNAPBACK}> Your words are mine, I completely agree...I also consider "Papillon" a song that requires a lot of technique and skills that aren't common to most singers...but it's still emotional and sensitive. In fact, there are other songs that fit in this description in my opinion...like "Quand on n'a que l'amour", "Calling you", "Us" and the whole "These are special times" album. firebird Posted August 6, 2006 at 11:01 PM Posted August 6, 2006 at 11:01 PM I'd say Call The Man - in this song she shows everything : powerful notes, high ones, emotions, improvisation. It's really beautiful Quote
smw Posted August 6, 2006 at 11:21 PM Posted August 6, 2006 at 11:21 PM As far as interpretation, there is simply no better song that Celine has recorded more than "Papillon". She takes us with her in that song...and her vocals simply can't be matched. So sweet, yet so powerful. Quote
Moleque20 Posted August 7, 2006 at 12:07 AM Posted August 7, 2006 at 12:07 AM With this tear, Papillon, Oh Holy Hight, Seduces Me, En Attendant Ses Pas, All By Myself Quote Les étoiles tombent une à une. Mes émois sont de saturne.

"All By Myself". I have to add -no question about it- "I Surrender". But, if you don't have listened to "Nadie Lo Entiende" by Café Quijano, in wich Celine does some A M A Z I N G vocals, then you gotta check it out!!!!!!!!!!!!! Immensité Posted August 11, 2007 at 12:22 PM Posted August 11, 2007 at 12:22 PM Definitely "Only one road","Is nothing sacred","The power of love","Quand on n'a que l'amour","The reason","La mémoire d'Abraham" and "Live". I think she is more expressive in her french songs , which is natural because that's her real language. Quote

Macaronie Posted August 11, 2007 at 02:18 PM Posted August 11, 2007 at 02:18 PM I am sorry, and will get alot of disagreements for this, but I surrender is not as 'good vocally' as it suppose to be. Her voice sounds like she had to take too much effort for that long note. I prefer it 'live'. I'd go for Quand on n'a que l'amour, Sur le même bateau, River deep mountain high, Us, Only one road (to name a few) Quote

She speaking French somehow sounds best to me , for example her talking in Au couer du stade...her introducing other artists like Bocelli, J.J Goldman...something like that Quote
