It's an original. From Albert Hammond's site (he also wrote "When I Need You.")

Same thoughts here...

It's definately one of the best songs ever, and very oddly not put on the U.S. version...

OMG I can't believe I'd never even heard Celine's version of this song until I read this post :celinechannel:  :surprise: It's definitely not on my 2x TCOML albums, the song is STUNNING . Why on earth was it not on the worldwide album release? It's just like "The Reason I Go On" and "Map to My Heart" brilliant songs that have gone to waste it makes me sad :teary: but thanks for introducing me to Just Walk Away :flowers:

It's on the version I have...I never knew it wasn't on all of them!

It's not in LatinAmerica version of the CD.

I prefer Josh Groban's version, mostly because it's in Spanish, and sung amazingly by him, great accent

Another song I don't have is "Where is the love?" from LTAL. It's replaced by "Amar haciendo el amor".

i thought the only song that is normally absent in the tracklisting of LTAL in some countries is BE THE MAN.

Yep, her song

"...It's the circle of life. You gotta look forward. Two days during the year there's nothing you can do about: yesterday and tomorrow. Today is a great day." - Celine Dion, People.

Yep, her song

Her song? Did she write Be The Man? I absolutely love that track :)

No dhena, they're both missing, "Be the man" and "Where is the love"

and No Denelle, she didn't write "Be the man".

As far as I know, the only song she has ever co-written is Marc Dupre's "Tout pres du bonheur".

Just walk away is on the canadian version of TCOML. I don't like that song. Cheesy and dated. It sounds like something Lionel Richie would have sang in 1983.
Posted
The lyrics may be cheesy but the vocals by Céline are incredible! I'm really grateful that it is included on the European edition. This is one of my favourites on TCOML.

IMO, not just the lyrics are cheesy and so is the musical arrangement. I can understand why it wasn't include on every album edition and I sure skip this song when I listen to that album.

But that's just my opinion.

When I first heard this song I had the feeling that I had already heard it, though I know that it is not a cover. It sounds a bit old-fashioned, as it it was a song from the 60s or even earlier. Cheesy? Yes, you might be right. Still it pleases me every time I listen to it. :)

yeah i agree the song has a time stamp all over, but this song is a lot better than EVERYBODY'S TALKING MY BABY DOWN, REAL EMOTION & LOVIN' PROOF, as these songs are so unnecessary for the people to hear instead of JWA.
