I'm Going to Vegas! But I need some help...

Hey all,

 

My begging and pleading to my parents are finally working its way out! For the past three years, I've been BEGGING my parents to take me, and they're finally giving in! They said they'll take me this Christmas!

 

But I need some info from those who have seen the concert first.

 

- Where should we purchase the tickets?

- How long in advance should we purchase the tickets?

- I know we can't take pics inside the theater, but how am I going to take pics outside? Will I have to make two trips from the Hotel to the Palace?

- What's the apparel? Should I wear a tux, or just dress formal?

- On the night of the event, how long in advance should I arrive at the theater before the show?

 

I know it's probably a lot to answer, but this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity (lol), and I'm sooooo excited! I just want this night to be perfect!

Hi there! Good for you, it will be the experience of a lifetime! I have been to Vegas 3 times already and saw about 8 shows, so I can give you some information...

 

You should become a member of Team Céline (maybe you already are, but if not, become one) to be able to buy great tickets. They usually go on sale 3 months before the showdate and the sale is announced at www.celinedion.com. Tickets are sold by www.ticketmaster.com At the day of the sale, make sure you are prepared. You can make an account at www.ticketmaster.com, it makes it a lot easier to buy tickets. You can also try it out, just make sure you know how it works. You can look for tickets without buying them, the first step (searching for tickets) is the most important one and that one you can practice. You do need a creditcard to buy tickets! Just before the sale starts log in on www.ticketmaster.com, look up the Céline-page with your date on it and refresh your page untill 'Buy ticket' appears. That way you will make sure you are one of the first people buying tickets! Succes guaranteed!

 

You can certainly make pictures outside the Colosseum, for example of the entrance, the boutique, the ticketbox, the Colosseum from the outside, no problem. Inside is difficult, because they do check your bag. And if you manage to take your camera with you without them seeiing it, they will take it from you when they see you try to make pictures. But hey, if you buy the showbook, you will have amazing pictures, so dont worry! At the show you should sit down and relax, there is so much to see and to experience, its a waste of time to try and make pictures!

 

People wear different clothes to the show. I once saw a man in his short pants with sandals and his socks under his knees on front row, but I personally think this is TERRIBLE! Its a theatre, Céline and her crew give everything they have to make it a great show every night and I do think they appreciate it when people dress up for the night. Besides that, it feels special to dress up and make it a night to remember!

 

Doors open early, so if you make sure you are there at about 7:30 or 7:45 pm you will be able to go inside the Colosseum. Then you can stay at the foyer. The theatre-doors will open at about 8:00 pm. If you are lucky, you will be able to hear the soundcheck through the doors!

Thanks, that really helped. But one more question. To take pics outside of the Colosseum, do you recommend that I go to the hotel after the show to get the camera and then come back to the Colosseum to take pics, take pics before the show?

It really doesn't matter when you take pics as long as you have some memories of the colliseum to take home with you.

I would definately say take you camera with you to the show and have it checked in. Just remember to get it as soon as you leave. That way you can take pictures of dancers if you see them come out.

 

I took my camera, but forgot where my ticket was so by the time my mother came back with the camera Mego had already left and I sort of forgot it after that. But i did get some great autographs.

If you want to know where to go to find the dancers just PM. I will warn you though I will be leaving on thursday till Sunday so do not be upset if I do not post right away.

Of course I've never been there and never will so I can't give you any advice about it, but I can just say to make it a night to remember, and maybe see if you can arrange a meet and greet with her somehow. Maybe you can contact someone at Caesars and tell them what a devoted fan you are, and that you even have a website devoted to her! It can't hurt!

 

Ok so I did come up with some advice. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity and she meets with fans all of the time! See what you can do. Let me know what happens, and of course let us all know how the show is when you go!!

well my first time seeing Celine in Vegas, I really wanted it to be perfect BUT IT WASN'T! Nothing is! I had to wait for an extra ten minutes to get my camera after the concert. <_< Anyway, forget that!

Well, the concert experience was so unforgettable. I was smack in the front in the center (well, you know TC best seat 3rd row front center). Order your ticket as soon as it's available whether TC or not - because the best seats are sold first! I think everyone else gave you tips, but I'm a fashion divo so I'm gonna have to spill the beans on apparel: Dress to impress and dress your best! You never know who you might meet after the show

Congratulations! I'm so Jealous!

 

I wouldn't worry too much about taking pictures, just try and savour each moment in your mind! Wear whatever you like, most of the people were dressed smartly when I was there, but it really depends on what you want to do after the show. It was a very special occasion for me, so I wore my new dress, killer high heels and a beautiful coat. We went for a nice meal afterwards so it worked out great.

 

One thing I will recommend is be brave, take a big deep breath and shout to Celine "I LOVE YOU CELINE!" The people around you will giggle, you will feel proud of yourself and Celine will give you the most genuinely sweet and sincerely touched smile you will ever see! She loves the interaction from the audience, and it will be something you can remember just for you! Much better than a photo!

 

Most of all, have a great time and see as much as you can of Las Vegas, it is an amazing place, I don't blame Celine for wanting to make it her "office". Las Vegas is awesome, take lots of photos and have fun!

 

P.S. take some very comfortable walking shoes - you will NEED them! Also use the Deuce buses, you pay $5 and get on and off the bus as many times as you like in 24 hours, it is an absolute bargain! You get dropped off right outside most of the major hotels! It will take you right down town and all the way to the top of the strip. I recommend getting on at one end and riding all the way to other and then deciding where you want to go. It's great to drive past everything and see just how huge the place is.

 

P.P.S. Take a trip up the stratosphere! The view is amazing! See the pirates of Ti, it's free and the dancers are cool! Visit the forum shops, the decor is so lavish and there are loads of little screens showing trailers for Celine's show! If you visit the venetian and want to take a gondola ride book in advance! Don't forget to check the leaflets and brochures for money off vouchers, you will save a fortune especially with the buffets. Eat at the Aladdin Buffet - the best on the strip!

 

That's all I can think of for now, if I think of any other tips I will let you know. But I just hope you have an amazing time! I'm so excited for you! Just typing about it is making all my memories come flooding back! Be safe and have fun!

Honestly, when I first went, i like was paranoied and had to be there like as soon as the doors opened, but nothing happens, so just make sure ya get there before 8:30 and your good. As far as cameras go...camera-phone...i have taken a few of them, but honestly, when you are there, you dont wanna worry about pictures. AS far as going back and forth, just brong your camera and take your pic and let them check it. Although I am sure you're gonna be in Caesars more than once anyway. And as far as dress goes, it's just a theatre, so just dress as you are going to the theatre...deff not a tux, just ya know a nice outfit
