CelineTheBest5 Posted February 15, 2005 at 04:32 PM Posted February 15, 2005 at 04:32 PM Here There And Everywhere - Celine Dion BY GEORGE MARTIN This is not only my favorite Paul McCartney song, it is probably his as well, so writing a special arrangement of it for one of my favorite voices was a daunting proposition. I do not think Celine is capable of making anything but a perfect sound, and I was thrilled to hear every take getting better and better. We ended up recording two tracks together; one for my album and one for hers. Both were terrific, and it was a session to remember. BY OPRAH You are the real deal. You make proud to be a women, you make proud to be your friend. BY CHER "I definitely think she's one of the best voices out there." "Céline is the best singer in the world. Nobody can out-sing her. She was on Divas once with Aretha Franklin and a whole bunch of other girls. She blew them all away. I was amazed. One time we were both at NBC and she did “Believe” for me. She did all the electronic effects with her voice! I would never sing on the same stage with her at the same time! The other girls have got great style, but as far as pipes go…" "I never listen to my music at home. I hate the sound of my voice. And if I want to listen to a voice, I listen to Céline Dion." BY ROSIE O'DONNELL "I first met Céline Dion at the premiere of Sleepless in Seattle. We were at a fancy Hollywood ballroom, with tables full of famous folk and expensive champagne. She introduced herself, this young beautiful woman, with a nod and a smile. She spoke very little English and my French is...well...isn't. Then she sang, and I was blown away. I have heard her sing live many times since then. Each time she amazes. It is her heart, however, that is truly her greatest gift. More pure than her pitch, more tender than her tone. She is one of a kind." BY DAVID FOSTER "It's no lie that I always describe Céline as the greatest voice I know, and yes she is still my favourite female singer. Apart from being an exceptional singer she is also a fantastic person" BY SHARON OSBOURNE Celine Dion sucks the devils (what?) in hell ^^ that was a non-nice comment about Celine. But... Sharon has said nice things about her since then. BY MARIAH CAREY at diva 98 "...I stole some of Celine's clothes..." THANKS TO CDF Quote https://www.facebook...linedionbrazil/
Bellamy Posted February 15, 2005 at 04:43 PM Posted February 15, 2005 at 04:43 PM In 1993, Celine sang "Love Can Move Mountains" for the new president of the United States. Hillary Clinton was so impressed with her voice that said: "You are fantastic". Catherine Zeta Jones and Michael Douglas, big Celine fans, have spent $11,500 on a full-page magazine advert praising Celine Dion, on March 24, 2003. The diva was set to take up residency at Las Vegas's Caesar's Palace for a series of concerts. The ad appeared in Variety Magazine and read: "Celine. We can't wait to see your show! All our best wishes, Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta Jones". Quote Please support the forum by ordering everything through our special Amazon.com link Click here. Thank you!

joshua312 Posted February 19, 2005 at 08:42 AM Posted February 19, 2005 at 08:42 AM Craig David “She’s like ‘whoa, on the next level” Michael Bolton’s “She digs down into herself and she goes into the well that an artist goes to when they paint, when they act, when they sing, when they write, and she comes out with this emotion … It’s a phenomenal instrument, but she feeds it with this emotion of what I think is the depth of who she really is… Its just one of the greatest gifts we have ever had.” Lil Kim "I remember after we were through performing the song...I went back to my seat......and my seat was directly behind Celine Dion's....I mean like directly behind...and I remember she turned around to me and tapped me on my shoulder and said that that performance was awesome.....I was like...wow...oh s***....this coming from Celine.....Celine Dion.....so yeah"... Richard Marx It should be noted that the "Trooper of the Evening Grammy"--if there was such a thing--should have gone to Céline Dion, who soldiered through her tribute to Vandross, despite a broken microphone and an ear monitor that was clearly not working. That she managed to sing her tribute flawlessly, despite the enormous technical difficulties, earned her the respect even of those who've consistently criticized her style. Backstage, Marx spoke about why Céline Dion was able to relate to Vandross's "Dance With My Father." "Well, you know, first of all, Celine's one of the greatest singers we have," Marx said. "Nobody can sing it like Luther, it's Luther's song, it just embodies Luther. But Celine also can really, it resonates with her because her father just passed away recently."Marx accompanied Céline Dion on piano for their special performance of "Dance With My Father," and backstage, Marx spoke about playing through some obvious technical glitches. "Hey, I'm just glad I didn't screw up the notes, you know," Marx said. "I was okay, Celine was amazing. It totally fazed her, she was a basket case after the song until I said, 'I promise you, you were awesome.' She just, she couldn't hear a thing. I mean, she's such a pro, it's amazing." Jessica Simpson on her favorite music "Huge ballads, romantic sweet songs, I love up tempos too, but I could live on just listening to ballads. Celine is my all time favorite I have looked up to her for so long. When I saw her perform, I just sat there and bawled she is an artist that takes you somewhere. I think that's why people love music so much because it takes you somewhere." Josh Groban on Grammy rehearsals Surprisingly, it was the most pleasant experience. I did not know what to expect because I was seventeen at the time. Céline Dion, from what I knew was just a popstar so I thought she would be a diva. She was so nice and I was so nervous. She kept me from shaking as we read the Italian together. She made a very stressful situation very comfortable. I will always remember that day.Josh Groban: I would love to team up with Celine Dion again. That day was so great. Now that I'm working with David, I'd love to have another song written and work with her. Bjork would be cool to work with as well. We're also thinking about doing something with Enya. Quote

Bellamy Posted February 26, 2005 at 04:57 PM Posted February 26, 2005 at 04:57 PM Here's a Elton John Fan's review of his Red Piano Show. Elton said something about Celine in it:I was in Vegas over the weekend and reluctantly went to see "The Red Piano". I was by myself and luckily scored an orchestra seat for $100. Anyway, he thanked the audience for coming to the show instead of "staying home to watch the Grammy's." He then said he hoped the band Franz Ferdinand wins a statue, and that the best band in America today was not Green Day or the Chili Peppers, but The Killers. Later in the show he spoke about the venue being the home of Celine, and that if she had to sit on her #ss to perform like he did, she wouldn't be so thin. He then said something to the effect that she might be fat like Star Jones. If that wasn't classic enough, he followed up with "I'll be frank, I simply f**k**g hate her (Jones). I've seen Elton 25ish times since the '82 tour and even though it bothers me knowing exactly what set list he's playing night after night, I admit I still enjoyed it maily for the visuals.this means Elton likes Celine, hates Norah Jones? Ronny83 Posted March 6, 2005 at 12:34 AM Posted March 6, 2005 at 12:34 AM Yes, here is a confirmation from the press of what Bellamy found on the fan site: "Welcome to the Colosseum, home of Celine Dion and sometimes me. While she's off getting thinner, I take her place," John said with a smirk. A few songs later, his Dion-jousting continued with, "No wonder she's thin. I sit here behind this 9-foot plank and she comes out and pirouettes and flies through the air and I have to say, I absolutely hate her. If she had been stuck behind a piano for 30 years, she'd look like Mama Cass. It's just not fair." Quote The Celine Dion Italian fanbase - CelineDionItalia.com

VinnyT. Posted May 5, 2005 at 10:29 AM Posted May 5, 2005 at 10:29 AM King has toured with international pop star Celine Dion. They recorded a cover of King’s “Treat Her like a Lady,” which was include on Dion’s 1998 album “Let’s Talk About Love.” “Working with Celine Dion was really cool. That’s the best experience I have had so far. She actually liked Treat Her Like a Lady and she wanted to do a cover of it. So we had to re-write it in Spanish because I had originally recorded it in patois. I did some shows with her and I realized that performing on her tour opened me up to a bigger audience,” King recalled.I dunno what she means when she says that they wrote the track in Spanish.
