Davey84 Posted November 17, 2006 at 09:44 AM Posted November 17, 2006 at 09:44 AM I downloaded an album called 'the unreleased album' and I saw to my surprise that Sheryl Crow also recorded Love You Blind! I knew she'd written it, but I didn't know she also recorded it! Does anybody know who recorded which version first? But this time.... Célines version is more upbeat then the other vision! You can get Sheryls version HERE Quote http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v75/daveyh84/incognito198701_zpsaaootxh1.jpgRick, ik hou van jou voor altijd!A New Day... has come 28/29 April & 2/3 May 07Antwerpen 13 et 14 mai,Paris 24 et 25 mai, Amsterdam 2 juinet Arras 7 juillet Chances Taken!!!How Do You Keep The Music Playing? - Celine Opening Night March 15th, March 16th
firebird Posted November 17, 2006 at 09:56 AM Posted November 17, 2006 at 09:56 AM Thanks for the file, never heard Sheryl sing it Firstly, and perhaps most importantly, the title given to 1992's Sheryl Crow by collectors and journalists alike is a misnomer. That is to say, the "Unreleased Album" was not strictly "unreleased". In 1991, when Sheryl Crow was first signed to A&M, she was sent straight into the recording studio to produce her first LP. One year later, the resultant record was ready. Entitled Sheryl Crow (A&M 75021 5393 4), it was only manufactured as a promotional test pressing cassette, not meant for DJ distribution (note: the "4" at the end of the catalogue number means tape cassette, while "2"s mean cd. There was never a legitimate CD of this album). This tape consisted of the following tracks:"All Kinds Of People"/"Father, Son"/"What Does It Matter"/"Indian Summer"/"I Will Walk With You"/"Love You Blind"(and, on side two)"Near Me"/"When Love Is Over"/"You Want It All"/"Hundreds Of Tears"/"The Last Time"/"Borrowed Time". Esty Posted October 25, 2008 at 09:02 AM Posted October 25, 2008 at 09:02 AM So Sheryl recorded it first. I prefer Celine's version. It's more upbeat and there's more life in it than in Sheryl's version. Quote
Alex_Incognito Posted October 25, 2008 at 09:05 AM Posted October 25, 2008 at 09:05 AM I remember when I first heard Celine's song on the IYAMT single and I saw that Sheryl Crow had the credit on the track! Then I had to find out if she recorded it, too. I, too, prefer Celine's version. Quote "People pay 20-25 dollars to see you."- Céline Dion, 1990
