Krys Posted December 12, 2007 at 01:28 PM Posted December 12, 2007 at 01:28 PM ha! i had to skip most of the gibberish between the Celine stuff i really liked this comment Under the Radar contains the last in-depth interview Smith gave, in June of this year. In it, he talks frankly about his addictions, as well as more interesting matters, and thanks Celine Dion for her unexpected kindness before the Academy Awards ceremony. "She was really sweet, which has made it impossible for me to dislike Celine Dion anymore," Smith says. "Even though I can't stand the music that she makes—with all due respect I don't like it much at all—but she herself was very, very nice. She asked me if I was nervous and I said, 'Yeah.' And she was like, 'That's good because you get your adrenaline going, and it'll make your song better. It's a beautiful song.' Then she gave me a big hug. It was too much. It was too human to be dismissed simply because I find her music trite." Quote
lyn Posted December 12, 2007 at 07:44 PM Posted December 12, 2007 at 07:44 PM Celine is like.. a big care bear running around spreading joy. 1 Quote Philadelphia, PA, Sept 5 2008.New York, NY, Sept 16 2008, Madison-Freaking-Square Garden.
SuperLove4Celine Posted December 13, 2007 at 03:33 AM Posted December 13, 2007 at 03:33 AM Howdy all, I haven't had a chance to read all of Carl's new book, but I and Sophoan were fortunate enough to be part of it. My section starts on page 108 and Sophoan's starts on 110. The only thing that struck me as funny is that Carl put down my partner's name as Raymond and not Robert. LOL Oh well. ...Joe... Quote
Prince Whiskers Posted December 13, 2007 at 06:11 AM Author Posted December 13, 2007 at 06:11 AM How dare that writer called Celine a "horror show"! And the juxtaposition of Celine's success and Elliot Smith's suicide was simply unnecessary. Quote http://cdn.webecoist.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/10/modern-pet-solo-blown-glass.jpg
celine_026 Posted February 25, 2009 at 03:19 AM Posted February 25, 2009 at 03:19 AM I want this book badly!! James talked about. It's totally on fashion! Quote http://img410.imageshack.us/img410/1098/power01eq1.jpg
luciusbright Posted February 25, 2009 at 06:42 AM Posted February 25, 2009 at 06:42 AM if you just read the first chapter, you will get really angry as a fan of CELINE, however, so lucy we all know that is was just a way of writting, and listened to the interview, he is probably quite a nice guy, I guess.I wanna read this whole book badly too~~~~~`` Quote S'il suffisait d'aimer...
Elaine Posted February 25, 2009 at 03:18 PM Posted February 25, 2009 at 03:18 PM Back in 2007 I answered this guy some questions for this book, but I haven't read it yet... Has anyone read it? Is it any good? Quote http://img807.imageshack.us/img807/1352/opo3.jpg

Kyle_Jared Posted February 25, 2009 at 04:48 PM Posted February 25, 2009 at 04:48 PM Oh poor Carl Wilson. He's a critic. Basically a haunted wannabe "arts" fellow who relishes the fact that Celine commanded the love she has. Typical critic, loves the pathetic 'woe is me' indie artists and hates contemporary success. Book sounds very interesting though. Quote
Shall Posted February 25, 2009 at 06:01 PM Posted February 25, 2009 at 06:01 PM I just got this book from Amazon.com and have read some pages.... It seems that the writer really hate celine, but why he appeared on the documentary "This is Celine Dion" so much often and talked a lot of positive things about celine??? maceta_biloxi Posted February 25, 2009 at 08:46 PM Posted February 25, 2009 at 08:46 PM Are you kidding me!? is like the writer is blaming Celine for this Smith-guy's death. The writer has the worst point of view of the situations, Oh My God!!!!Is the whole book like chapter 1? or this is the only chapter that speaks about Celine? I wonder if Carl ever went in and fixed my partner's name from Raymond to Robert. LOL I didn't care for the book enough to buy another copy, but if anybody does get the new edition, I'd love to know if Raymond has become Robert. LOL Quote
