MONTREAL, Oct. 17 /CNW/ - MovieEntertainment, Eastern Canada's monthly
"A-list" magazine about stars, styles, fashion, beauty, music and movies,
announced its first Entertainer of the Year Awards in its October issue, now

"MovieEntertainment is by far the biggest celebrity-focused magazine in
the country, including People," says Marvin Boisvert, ME's President and
Publisher. "ME's readers know the real stories are as much behind the screen
as on it, and they have their favourite Canadian stars."
In the November issue, out in a few days, readers in 875,000 Canadian
households will be able to check the five nominees in each of four categories
put forward by the ME panel of celeb-savvy judges.
The final four winners of the MovieEntertainment Entertainer of the Year
Awards will be announced in December's issue.
A donation to each winner's favourite charity is the main prize, plus a
plaque commemorating their achievement

as well as the local haunts where they shop, schmooze and sip the latest in
martinis. The magazine also carries premium TV information on The Movie
Network, MPIX, A&E, Vu! and Viewers' Choice Pay-Per-View.
"Our readers keep the magazine right in front of them all month long, and
constantly browse it for what to watch and when," says Boisvert. "But it's the
details in our stories that really ice the cake for them. Canada offers so
much to the stars, both local and homegrown, and readers want to know where to
eat, drink and buy the right stuff, just like their favourite celebrities.
"MovieEntertainment tells all the secrets."
