I’m glad she has BYLM, but “Spanish Guitar” was a missed opportunity and would’ve been a great addition to FIY album. I love that song!

Actually, I searched and proved myself wrong. Tony says it was Unbreak My Heart that was meant for Celine in that interview. However, I am sure Diane Warren tweeted that it was actually Spanish Guitar and not UMH. I'd tend to believe Diane rather than Tony because she would know better as a songwriter.

Oooh it definitely worked out great for her.

But damn what I would give to hear her recording of Dreams To Dream. :wub:
But it seems there aren't many lovers for that song though. :(

It was definitely my fav movie and song!

She was offered both songs. “UnBreak My Heart” was the one that was flipped with Toni Braxton for BYLM.

Spanish Guitar was just a Celine reject that was intended for her and later went to Toni Braxton, in the same why she passed on “There You’ll Be” and it went to Faith Hill and, “Don’t want to miss a thing”, that went to Aerosmith after Celine said no.

Sometimes we have to lose hope. Ashes is Celine's Believe. I don't think she can give more hits. not because her voice is gone which certainly isn't. But because her promotion is bad and youth doesn't listen to her recent music. But I still hope Celine could do be semi-hit like HDAMLF

Nope. It was not Spanish Guitar that was "exchanged" with BYLM. Toni said it was Unbreak My Heart that was supposed to be Celine's and BYLM was supposed to be hers. The interview is down below.

Right, this interview. But after this interview, someone asked Diane Warren on Twitter, and she tweeted that it was actually Spanish Guitar, and not Unbreak My Heart. I'd believe Diane rather than Tony because Diane must know for sure whom she offered those songs...

I remember “Unbreak My Heart” was offered to Céline not as an exchange for BYLM. She turned down this song. I wonder how she will sound like with this song.

My point was because of James Horner, one thing led to another directly in the case of MHWGO. Was there a direct connection between DTD and BATB?

I have a hard time believing Celine would turn down Unbreak My Heart. Toni Braxton's low notes...it really sounds like that song was meant for her. But I would have loved to hear Celine's version. There's no way that song was not going to be a hit for whoever sang it.
