If this is true, France will be fatally attacked by the outbreak. Cold weather is MUCH beneficial for the COVID-19 than the tropical weather in Southeast Asia, where the virus' life is much shorter.

many of my friends who settle in France have told me that wearing a mask is associated with a representation of weakness. That is, those wearing anti-COVID masks are weak people and the healthy people don' do this. Plus, the healthy people do not have to protect themselves against the deadly virus. Most of people on the streets do not wear masks.

Stop spreading fake news. That is completely untrue. Masks don't do anything for healthy people. Masks are necessary only for people who are already sick with the virus. Therefore healthy French people who do not wear a mask are educated and informed people. The only measure that is useful is to wash your hands regularly.

I regret writing so tough so I apologize. And also I want to add that some people have the disease without any symptoms, which we do not know when I wrote my first reply. So it might be useful to wear masks after all... but I don't. I'm sorry about that. But that doesn't mean that I think that people who do are wrong.

I don't know what is the situation in France, but in Switzerland there is a shortage of masks. The dentists for example have to cancel appointments because of a lack of mask... So the population is invited to NOT buy masks (anyway, we don't know where to buy them currently lol), they are only for carers.
***I speak French, sorry for my mistakes in English. I would be very happy if you write me a private message to tell me when I make mistakes, as I want to improve my English***

In Texas, a person older than 5 years old must wear a mask.
If people are caught not covering their nose and mouth, they face a misdemeanor punishable by a fine of up to $1,000.

Finally, the western countries must confess that they have been wrong.

Mike Ryan, the executive director of WHO's health emergencies program, said Friday that the organization still officially recommends the use of masks for people who are sick or people taking care of someone sick at home.
However, he said WHO supports any decision a country comes to on its own.

The latest rule in Germany is that wearing a mask is mandatory.
BERLIN (Reuters) - Germany has drawn up a list of measures, including an obligation to wear masks in public, limits on public gatherings and the rapid tracing of infection chains, that officials think should allow life to return to normal after lockdown’s scheduled end on April 19.

Finally, French police wear masks!!!

Just because WHO says normal people don't wear masks doesn't mean that WHO is correct and right

The virus is very insidious. Not all masks are effective against it. And apparently there is lack of them.
