Yup. Totally.
I know it's an ad. But they don't need to beat me over the head with it. The best advertising is far more subtle than this.
I liked the first ad - that was more about brand ethos.
The "now let's look at Celine dye her own hair and admire our package" bit is a roll-my-eyes, totally unnecessary, and far less effective moment.

Rare but i disagree so much with you this time.
I don't think anyone believes that Celine is actually dying her hair by herself and L'oreal doesn't imply that. It just demonstrates how the average consumer will use the product. Just as it happens in every other ad. The only difference of this campaign is that most famous people don't use or necessarily like the products they are advertising, but Celine actually likes this brand. And i don't think they really beating you over the head with it. If we didn't follow Celine we probably wouldn't have seen any of the 3 clips. As far as what the best and most effective advertising is.. well let's not go there. Anyway, i like all the clips, i laughed when i saw her shaking the dye bottle and i'm only annoyed that they are teasing us without showing the whole ad!

I know she actually uses their products - that's why I feel (based on these last few) this may be a wasted opportunity. They could have done so much more with this! (I mean, Vogue made art with their Celine videos!)
It can be fun and memorable, or it can be tacky and lame.
The first few snippets we saw were great, and I'd say fit more in the former category. These last few - not so much.

I think this kind of promo appeals more to their target market and demographic than a Vogue concept would for example. I agree that the very first clip was better and i think that's the main part of the whole ad but i wouldn't call the others tacky or lame. It's just a personal view in the end, so i get your point. I mainly disagree with you about what the best/effective advertising is and the amount of ads.

Fair.
What do you mean about "amount of ads" though? I don't remember bringing that up.
(Though FWIW, the more the merrier, as far as I'm concerned.)

I took the "annoying", "subtle" and "beat me over the head with it" parts as this is too much advertising but now that i re-read it all i realised that it was just me failing english

I just want to confirm before I go out and purchase Celine's exact hair color. Is that picture of a box of hair dye under Celine's ad the same shade Celine is wearing? I know that this is the same hair dye box that is shown in her commercial, but I just want to make sure that this is indeed the correct shade?
I am asking because I saw an article online recently that said Celine's shade is 7.3, but I only see a 7 on this particular box of hair dye. Maybe if I got a better picture I would see 7.3, or maybe the article was wrong and her shade is actually 7?
Anyways. It's so nice to see Celine face on an ad!!

Just a little info/warning, those boxes of color are made for people who want to do their own hair.
You will never get the exact color you see on the box.
It depends on your own natural color, do you have a lot or red underneath etc, on how many layers of hair dye you already have in the lengths, and the condition of your hair.
I am sure that Céline's hair color didn't come out of this little box. They custom made one with professional hair salon L'Oréal stuff in order to get as close as one of the boxes.
So before you all start buying the 7.3 box and put it on your hair.
Don't come here complaining it's not the exact result as Celine her hair.
