I believe I remember reading something about the home/Caesars thing in "My Story, My Dream."
This was the first house they were actually building and I believe Rene was actually not so enthusiastic about it. He had really liked their old house.... but this was something that Celine was excited about. They liked the lot, bought it, built on it.
I believe she had kept a sort of visual journal/scrapbook of everything that she liked and that Rene did. She cut out little photos and pasted them into a book. Photos of couches, chairs, lamps, floors, architecture, paintings and everything. She was particularly drawn to (of course) Louis XIV designs.
Rene always talked about how much he loved the look of Caesars, the marble floors, gold fixtures and the like, so she made sure to incorporate that into their home.
On the day that they moved in she made is very special for Rene with music and a bunch of his favorite things. She had a waitor hired to bring him a drink and serve them dinner, I believe.
Does this soun familiar to anyone else?
Anyway, it would be a reason that it looks like Caesars in there.
