She may have misremembered the timeline a little but I clearly remember doctors doing a press conference outside the hospital “Palms West” announcing RC’s birth. I may have seen it on local tv as that’s the area I live but it happened. But I think it was a couple hours after he was born.
Thanks- I don’t remember that, but I know you lived in the area. I recall a People article that said Celine’s mom was the first person they told. Celine must have given consent for the press conference— no way doctors would do that without consent. It could easily end a doctor’s career to broadcast medical info without consent. Also no way it happened before the baby was in her arms, unless he was whisked away for treatment or something and she didn’t hold him for a long time. But she makes it sound like paparazzi were in the hospital room without her consent, and I’m sure that just didn’t happen.

Rene could have given them consent for the press conference. Knowing the man he was, it wouldn't surprise me.
Regarding the part when Celine said she hadn't even held RC in her arms... did Celine give a birth to RC in a natural way? As far as I remember she did caesarean delivery with the twins, but I always thought she delivered RC herself since she was younger then. That could explain her recent comments. Do we actually know?

RC’s was a C section too. The labour was quite traumatic apparently and the baby was in distress so they had to perform an emergency c section after she had been in labour for some hours.

I was in public transports when I saw it for the first time, I laughed a lot and also cried at 10:40 with the new AWESOME AND INCREDIBLE song. I'm so excited, first "Flyin' on my own" that I loved, than "Courage" sublime, and now this song (which name ? ^^), the album will be over the top !!!!!
We are LUCKY FANS. And sometimes waiting is better....

This formula could work very well for Céline, especially now.
Every fart she does is like golden glitter and rainbows for the press.
The audience go crazy for her and she is very well loved with the younger audience these days.
So yes releasing a random song after such good promo could work very very well.

Yes and I appreciate what youre saying, but that formula does not work for Celine... dont think she has had a #1 anywhere in over a decade, she cant just release a song and have it go #1... its just not gonna happen

He is exactly right. There has always been 2 Celines. One that is poised and answers thoughtfully and the other who he described as sliced orange cheese lol. Also said that since Rene's death, the cheesy one swallowed up the other.
"quelques malaises ont ponctué la conversation, notamment quand Céline a traité ses assistantes de « bitchs » et qu’elle a envoyé un « f*** off » bien senti à James Corden. Imaginez si, même à la blague, la chanteuse avait balancé « tu me niaises, tabarnak ! » à Guy A. Lepage sur le plateau Tout le monde en parle. Le Québec ne s’en serait jamais remis"

You're exactly right. There is a time and place for a certain sort of interview, and this interview she was perfect.

Haha TYPICAL.
Last day I was thinking to myself: Soon we will see a backclash from Quebec, cause this is always how it works. At least here in France concerning artists getting popular outside their own country, and I guess it's a natural process that occurs everywhere. It seems so.
Well, Céline is since a long time an international artist but she always was a bit mocked. So it was still Quebec national treasure and people where protective, now that other countries embrace her again almost like never before, and that she is getting so popular again in US.... She will receive a lot of criticism from Quebec, and will be a bit rejected..
Haha, be prepared, typical human behaviour.

Well I've heard Madame Tussauds and the Grevin Museum have great wax statues that will fit their standards.

I'm talking about a natural tendancy to backlash a bit artists in their own country once they become popular outside. Once again Celine is way bigger than that since a long time but still It's a process observed everywhere and I don't know why last time I was thinking that we will see more criticism from Quebec from now on, just due to this natural tendency over than just personnal opinion.
