In honor of the Grammy Awards airing tonight on CBS, wishing Celine was performing in tribute to Rene, but understanding it is still too soon, I was wondering what you all think are Celine's greatest grammy moments so far?
Celine has had many incredible moments through her career! from performing "Beauty and the beast" and winning her first grammy for that song, to performing "All by myself" and winning album of the year!, to performing "My Heart Will Go On" (which on the Grammy's 50th anniversary, the public voted Celine's performance the #2 best grammy performance of all time, and the #1 performance by a solo or female artist!!!) and then Celine winning Record of the Year in 1999 for "My Heart Will Go On", along with Best Female Pop vocal peformance!, to Celine sing "The Prayer", to Celine singing a really emotional "Dance With My Father" and then "Earth Song" in tributes to Luther Vandross (and Celine's own dad) and Michael Jackson, to Celine's more recent awesome performances of "At Seventeen", "The Greatest Love Of All" at the Grammy Whitney Houston tribute, to her "All The Way" performance at the Sinatra 100 Grammy tribute!!
There are so many to chose from!
Mine favorite has to be Celine singing "My Heart Will Go On" in February 1998, and then winning Record of the year in 1999 for the song!
The performance was so classy, timeless, and special, and then seeing getting the recognition for the song's incredible success by winning the biggest award a song can win at the Grammy's was a great moment!!!

ABM 1997 for me. Hearing the audience clapping during the song and before the music ends says a lot. Considering who is the audience, singers, rivals, music industry bods. Love it.

Oh Wow! I'm watching the Grammys right now and they showed Rene (along with James Horner) during the memoriam! They played a bit of My Heart Will Go On as well. It's so nice that they recognized Rene!

I'm not surprised that they included Rene in the tribute.... I AM surprised that they used MHWGO!
Very touching and thoughtful

Does Ken Ehrlich still produce the Grammy's? Either way, its lovely that they will included Rene.

"We have the most complicated technical show on television when it comes to music, bar none. Inside the piano are microphones, and a mike dropped into the strings. It happens to all sorts of people, but it rarely happens on our show," Recording Academy President Neil Portnow told L.A. Times. "When we switched over to the backup system, it had to drop out for a few seconds. When performing in intimate performance, it can be unnerving. We certainly don’t like it when those things happen, but they happen."
OK, in 2004 it happened to Celine too

13. "My Heart Will Go On" - Celine Dion
Unlike its namesake, the blockbuster Titanic film flourished in every possible venue – box office, Oscars, and even the Grammys via this weepy Celine Dion standard. Despite being a bit cheesy, the ballad showcases Dion at her vocal best as she soars over the somber melody. To boot, Dion breezes past one of the most climactic key changes in pop music - kid's stuff.

Wasn't it only Celine's mic not working though?? It was swapped, they started the song again. Simple.
Adele's performance wasn't great. Good but not to her usual standard. Technical problems but she wasn't hitting her notes as well as usual either. Think it was a combination of issues.
These things happen.

We don't hear the piano the first time round either, it only really kicks in once they restart after changing Celine's mic...

I'm not sure if I can call wearing a fishnet over tiny thongs 'my favorite Celine Grammy Awards' moment but... Anyway, she did it. Her hair sucked, her body rocked, her body still rocks actually. I bet she could still rock that so-called 'dress' today, maybe with different thongs though.
