Yes I did read about this in her 1997 biography. It's a long story, poor René was so disappointed, took him 4 days to have courage to tell Celine she was not singing it anymore.
I've been really curious to hear this song ( by Linda Rumsfeld or whatever she is called). I don't think there is a Celine version out there since they didn't want her singing.
Any of you ever heard this song?

Such a waste i mean it was recorded in full by Celine. I wish if there’s an interview and there’s a segment about past recordings. I hope they will mention about this more and if she remembers it.

I remember that she was crying about it being replaced by Linda because she wasn’t that famous yet.
But they said that Linda already recorded the song and changed her mind. So, they went for Céline and everything’s done then suddenly, Linda changed her mind again and wanted to be part of it.
After that they gave the Beauty and the Beast to Celine. But I want more talk about Dreams to dream song. 😁
I’m curious with Celine’s version, they said that she sang it so beautiful. But still curious how it sounded.
