Her is The only Album critic That I found in an online Version of a nationwide German newspaper that deals with the new album. in Germany Celine is mostly a non subject when it comes to her music (sadly the sales of her singles in the last decade prove that she lost a lot of fans here. Only her albums sell ... well ....decently. And of course people go to her concerts) and the critic sums up the still existing and unchanged view of Celine in the German public. I can't say which is my favorite song. The album is simply fabulous! IMO 12 songs have the potential to be single.
Right now, I'm completely surrendered to Heart of Glass. Its addicting!

I love it 🤭🥰 I think I was just in a terrible mood, had had a bad week, and it took me by surprise. So I’ve taken my time - and it’s now on repeat, and I now have all the feels, in learn off by heart mode and apologise profusely to Céline and team as this truly is a gift,  straight from her. Such a personal album as it’s clear it’s exactly the album she finally got to make, her way.

For me, right now Look At Us Now is my favourite. I love her deeps and attitude. But my Lord, we have been spoilt with this. No matter its chart positions, its sales, we have this wonderful album forever. Here’s to an Era of Courage.

One of the most distracting things for me, personallly, is that the album seems lopsided: the front half seems weaker than the end half. Like, for example, FOMO seems out of place, and LND seems like an odd follow up, so I’m trying to fix that.

Just curious: Has anyone else tried playing around with the sequence? I’m currently reworking the track list, snipping the songs I don’t love, and pushing those bonus tracks where I think they belong

Still haven’t received my physical copy from TM, so I figure “what the hell?”

I think when you call an album deluxe only adding the bonustracks but not even adding the lyrics to the songs is a big failure.  Deluxe is like presenting it in a special box; add photocards,  a lyrics booklet,  a beautiful poster,  a recording session DVD etc..   For me this wannabe warriorpic doesn't count.

I’m so glad to read this Stevo as I really felt for you on Friday and honestly your post totally put me off listening to it as I really worried I may have felt the same.

However, listen to it I did and although still only listened to it fully once through, I’ve listened to C, I and LD a few times as I needed to catch up with them, know I’m gonna love it and hopefully for a very long time to come.  

I have never been more proud of her as a fan!!

I actually think my friend was right ahahaha it's very personal and the songs talk about love but in a new way for her... What are you thoughts?!

I'm betting I'm gonna love some songs even more after a while, but this is it for now. Mostly it's the production that prevented the songs from being better for me. The lyrics are all amazing.

Does anybody have a problem with the sound quality of certain songs? The sound seems muffled, like in a low quality mp3 or a bootleg. This is not the case for Courage, Imperfections or Lying Down, but it is for I Will Be Stronger, Perfect Goodbye and Heart of Glass, unfortunately...

Of course it is possible that that could happen. It still seems a long way off though. I take most of the songs just to be generic love songs. The way she still talks about Rene doesn't suggest that she is in any way ready for that and she has directly said she isn't. I think that people also forget that a new relationship would be a two way thing. Whoever took that on would be dominated by who she is, they would also have to live in Rene's shadow. That in reality would be very difficult for them.

Totally true. I really don't know how these celebrities manage to have a healthy love life :/

Even if I respect René tremendously, I hope for her that she'll find love again. She said she wasn't ready yet but said for the first time in an interview that she would be opened to love again. And that she misses affection... I can't imagine how difficult this lack of love can be, even during a mourning period. Let's remind us as well that Rene was sick for years, she had time to prepare herself mentally...

I wish her anything she wants, including lots of love <3

I actually thought that last night but I figured it was because I was listening on my phone.  My Deluxe CD just arrived so looking forward to trying that out in my car to see if it sounds better.

I totally agree!

And I think they made it quite apparent that the actual Courage album is the „deluxe“ version. The standard version was just released to boost sales by making fans and collectors buy both, and to make people who got it with a ticket bundle get the other, richer version as well.

On the „deluxe“ cover it doesn’t even say that it’s the deluxe. It looks exactly the same as the standard.

I think she has always said she is open to it. That's not really new. And I don't think that Rene being ill for so long has made it easier for her to move on. The way she still talks about him nearly 4 years down the line just goes to show the connection she still feels to him.

I just hope she doesn't feel pressured into finding someone new. She is asked about this in almost every iinterview. It is ok if she is never ready. I would hate to see her in and out of pointless relationships like other celebrities. As she said in the Radio 2 interview in September, Rene has given her enough love that she could go on alone with the kids for the rest of her life.
