I'm happy to announce that the forum now works with the popular Tapatalk mobile app for phones and tablets. It's available for Android, iOS, and Windows 8 platforms.

What is Tapatalk?

Tapatalk is an app built for interacting with discussion forums on mobile and tablet devices. Keep in mind not all features/options from the desktop version are available on the mobile app. I hope this addition will encourage more activity on the forums.

Sorry to be annoying about this, but is there a way to make the mobile site work without the notification for Tapatalk coming at the top of each screen?   I can't download apps on my phone (long story) and the mobile site has always worked fine for me, but the Tapatalk notice on the top gets kind of annoying.

Anyway, thanks for always working to make the forum better.

For some reason, the image for the big X on the top right corner wasn't uploaded properly. Just tap on it and the notification banner won't come up again.

It's in "Conversations" on the navigation panel.

Well i am using Tapatalk now. Uts seems easier to manage than the mobile site. Tho i do miss the mobile site.

You can still use the mobile skin in addition to tapatalk.

Yes, it's optimized to view on a phone and loads much quicker.

On Tapatalk, how do you know if someone quoted you or liked your post?

There is no notifications in Tapatalk to alert you when someone quotes or likes your post. On each post, it'll show likes from members next to the "thumbs up" image.

I use Tapatalk as well because the forum doesn't allow me to type out comments on my Microsoft Surface 2.

A while ago I saw this app for free in the Amazon Appstore. I haven't tried it yet tho since this is the only forum I would use it on. Will be interesting to use it. I did 100% of my posting back in the day from a PC never a mobile device.

I use the app frequently and with joy, but somehow the notications never load for me.
I do get an alert if someone liked my post, quoted me or PMed me, but if I go to the notifications tab, it never loads.

Do others have the same problem?

Well I should have complained sooner, cos now it's working again

When I first got the app it worked, then for a long time it didn't untill today

Notification is not very reliable with the current version of Tapatalk. The last update was in 2013 since they stopped supporting this version of the forum. I'll have to upgrade to 3.4 to be able to use the newer versions of Tapatalk which fixes a lot of bugs. Currently, there is no timeframe for that.

No problems here using an older version on Android. Are you using the latest version?

now i can use the forum from my home (  i don't have computer yet)

when i go the the forum automatically comes a different page, i never download the app

Updated to the latest Tapatalk released today.

"Updated push notification code to solve some issues with quote and newtopic push messages. This also improve a lot the performance of the push notifications and reduce the server resource usage."

Any feedback is welcome.

There was an issue with sending PM so I had to revert back to the older version for now until they fix the bug.
