We are having a birthday party for my son today!! He will be 22 Monday! BBQ and Crawfish on the menu! I'll be busy purging those little suckers out here shortly!

I've already been out of India and in Germany for the past one year. Right now, I'm moving to another city in Germany for University

It rained but we had a blast. The mudbugs turned out fantastic! I'd put up a pic. but.............................. I have no clue how

I just had to google mudbugs to realize they were food.  (It's an odd name, isn't it? Mud and bugs? It sounded like your party was invaded by two things you wouldn't want!)

i've never had crawfish.  Shrimp, yes... Lobster, yes but not crawfish.

LOL, people probably do, but I'm allergic to shellfish, so I don't pay attention.  Never heard the term mudbug before, though - I like it!

And you're not old -- as Celine would say, at some point you become quite expensive because you're vintage

That's what I heard her say -- "at one point, we get very expensive and we can call ourselves vintage." So cute!

This reminds me of the time I was shopping with a friend in a record store in 1998 -- of course, I had to check out all the Celine albums, and there was a copy of Unison marked with a sticker that said "vintage."  My friend and I started laughing uproariously -- the concept of an 8-year-old album being "vintage" just seemed hilarious to us.  To this day, just saying the word "vintage" makes us both laugh.

(But I don't know. . maybe by now Unison could be considered vintage.  The oldies station by me has started playing Whtiney Houston songs from the 80s.  Those are the songs of my childhood, and it freaks me out that they're "oldies" now!)

I have never heard the term mudbugs either, sounded disgusting when I first heard it too. Thank you Lisa for doing the yuck of googling that for us. Hope you didn't have to see any disgusting visuals. Either way, you spared me, LOL. What? Unison vintage at only 8? No way! And wow. An oldies station playing 80's Whitney songs. I know, I grew up on those too. I grew up on country music and now the old country online stations play eighties country on their old stations. To me, and nothing against anyone I'm not calling Anyone old here, but to me, 50's and 60's music is still old, good but old, and is what should appear on oldies stations. I'm with you, Lisa, that freaks me out. What scares me even more is that one day, Celine's songs are going to get a whole new wind but on oldies stations and she/they are NOT old. I also remember hearing her say that about people. Sherri, in my spiritual tradition, when a woman reaches her fifties she is considered a wise crone. Women, all of us actually, go through maiden, mother, or father, and then crone. To me, to call you a crone is not an insult because it means you have gathered a lot of wisdom and insight in your life.
