Thanks to the Live à Paris video, we have known for 15 years what the main French setlist was throughout the D'eux tour. However, many people overlook the 7 concerts performed in the UK & Ireland, where the setlist was mostly English. Other European countries on this small tour may also have had this setlist. There is absolutely no information available on which songs she performed here, so I am asking if anyone on this forum knows any details.

We can safely asssume the English songs performed in LAP were also featured in the UK. These are TPOL, RDMH, WDMHBN, Misled, LCMM, Calling You.

Then, we have to look at her hits. Another fan who actually attended one of these concerts told me that IYAMT, OOR and BATB were performed, but that is all he could remember. This makes sense, as these 3 songs were all permed in the TCOML tour, and the following FIY tour. Think Twice was still huge in the UK in 1995, so that would definitely be there too. (We musn't forget that Celine toured the UK at the end of the TCOML tour in May 1995, before returning in October 1995 with the D'eux tour. For this reason, I don't think there would be too much change from the TCOML setlist, as the only material they could add to the show were D'eux songs.)

This brings us on to the French numbers. Seeing as this was the D'eux tour, I think PQTME, JIOTI, JSP would have been performed. Le ballet was featured throughout the FIY tour, including the English shows, so there's no reason why that wouldn't be in UK D'eux concerts.

This gives me 14 songs that were almost certainly performed:

The Power Of Love
River Deep, Mountain High
Where Does My Heart Beat Now
Misled
Love Can Move Mountains
Calling You
J’irai où tu iras
Je sais pas
Le ballet
Pour que tu m’aimes encore
If You Asked Me To
Only One Road
Beauty And The Beast
Think Twice

Can anyone add to this??

Thank you!!! :flowers:

All I know about this is that the setlist we're talking about was very similar to the The colour of my love Tour songlist.

Tournée Européenne in Paris (December 1, 2013)

Céline Dion Live 2016 in Antwerp (June 20, 2016)

Céline Dion Live 2017 in Birmingham (July 27, 2017)

I think you can add Everybody's talking my baby down aswell... maybe she also did Natural Woman  I don't think it's save to say she also performed CY... I don't think it was ever part of the TCOML tour...

big chance that When I Fall in Love and TCOML were performed too...

Doesn't any UK fan have any newpaper clippings on which songs she sang? Or anyone who attended?

Calling You was in the TCOML tour, and it was in LAP, so I think we can assume it was performed in the UK as well. :thumbsup2:

I thought about WIFIL and TCOML may have been performed as well. Not sure about Natural Woman though, it wasn't in the TCOML tour...

Oh yeah, CY is also on Céline A L'Olympia... but I don't know for certain it was also part of the English concerts... :hmmm:

No, but Tapestry Revisited was released in 1995, so maybe she got the hang of NW and put it in the setlist! ;) It is possible though, that there were more D'Eux songs, like Destin and PP, cos D'Eux was a big seller also in the UK!

Well according to Wikipedia Calling You was in the English TCOML setlist too.

I guess it's possible, but seeing as FIY was not released until the following year, I think it's unlikely it was performed before the FIY tour...

And you're right, there were definitely more D'eux songs in the show - I only listed the songs above that would definitely have been there. But I think any of these could have been performed in the UK: Destin, Regarde-moi, Les derniers seront les premiers, Prière païenne. :)

Natural Woman was performed during the CD tour, Tim. It was likely closer to Aretha's version than Celine, so perhaps another G5? lol

RDMH wasn't on her album untill 1996 either, but it was already performed live ;)

Same for IIC and WAWW ;)

Wow thank you. So that's the same D'eux songs as LAP, except Vole. So with Ziggy and LBDB that makes 11 songs, which means if we add the 10 English songs I posted earlier which would almost definitely be there, it makes a setlist of 21 songs. (The French setlist was 20 songs). So if this is correct, then maybe there weren't as many English songs (other than the essential hits)

I forgot it was performed during the CD tour, so NW is a possibility. But after seeing the information above, it seems only the main English hits from the TCOML tour were included.

I suppose only someone who went to one of the shows knows for sure which french songs were performed.   Maybe we'll never know the official setlist for those ones.

Those shows were probably more or less the same as the earlier english concerts - a few D'eux songs with mainly TCOML songs.

The set list for the CD tour i'd love to have witnessed live though!

Des Mots qui Sonnent
WDMHBN
Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word
LCMM
LAEE
Je Danse Dans Ma Tete
Unison
IYAMT
Did You Give Enough Love
BATB
Water From The Moon
With This Tear
Natural Woman
Nothing Broken But My Heart
Can't Help Falling In Love

I was at the show in Dublin, unfortunatley I can't remember exactly what was performed but I have been racking my brain to remember the ones that were performed.

(not in actual order):

Beauty And The Beast *
If You Asked Me To *
Think Twice *
Only One Road *
Everybod's Talking My Baby Down *
Le Ballet (As the band intro) *
Misled *
When I Fall In Love
The Power Of Love *
Je Sais Pas
Refuse To Dance
J'irai Ou Tu Iras
J'attendais
Calling You *
Where Does My Heart Beat Now *
Love Can Move Mountains *
Pour Que Tu M'aimes Encore *
River Deep, Mountain High
The Colour Of My Love (Used as the Finale Encore) *

The ones that I am 99% certain about are marked with an asterix

I do not remember and would be very, very doubtful about:
Natural Woman
Ziggy
Le Blues Du Businessman

I do remember that she gave a good long concert so I would agree that about 20+ songs would seem about right. I could add more D'eux songs to the above, but I think that 15 years of Live A Paris could have clouded my memory even more. I am currently transferring my TV video collections to DVD, but I don't expect to find anything too revolutionary there. And unfortunatley I was not corresponding with other fans when I went to this show, so I can't look back on any correspondance about it either. But I'll get back on here if I think of anything else.

Yeah Davey, the old memory is shot. I became heavily addicted to Valium when Sony decided to release Goodbye's (The Saddest Word) as a major single. It was the only thing that would numb the pain at the time. But I haven't really been the same since.

I agree. Her hair looks to long there to be 1995/D'euz. 1993 was dark brown long....95 was short and not as daek.

I think Davey just meant he had always assumed the flyer was TCOML tour, but now he realises from the dates that it was indeed D'eux. :thumbsup2:

Tyler, this photo was from the TCOML tour (possibly from Olympia as this was the Korean CD cover). They don't have to use a D'eux tour picture to promote the D'eux tour! :giggle:   The new Vegas flyer has a TCWT photo, and if you look at her tour programmes from the 90s, you will find that most contain concert photos from the previous tour (as there are obviously no new photos at the time it was printed!). :thumbsup2:

I have recently received some Celine press clippings, and found one reviewing a UK D'eux Tour concert. It confirms that 'When I Fall In Love' was performed. :)

Those shows were probably more or less the same as the earlier english concerts - a few D'eux songs with mainly TCOML songs.

The set list for the CD tour i'd love to have witnessed live though!

Des Mots qui Sonnent
WDMHBN
Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word
LCMM
LAEE
Je Danse Dans Ma Tete
Unison
IYAMT
Did You Give Enough Love
BATB
Water From The Moon
With This Tear
Natural Woman
Nothing Broken But My Heart
Can't Help Falling In Love

I was at the show in Dublin, unfortunatley I can't remember exactly what was performed but I have been racking my brain to remember the ones that were performed.

(not in actual order):

Beauty And The Beast *
If You Asked Me To *
Think Twice *
Only One Road *
Everybod's Talking My Baby Down *
Le Ballet (As the band intro) *
Misled *
When I Fall In Love
The Power Of Love *
Je Sais Pas
Refuse To Dance
J'irai Ou Tu Iras
J'attendais
Calling You *
Where Does My Heart Beat Now *
Love Can Move Mountains *
Pour Que Tu M'aimes Encore *
River Deep, Mountain High
The Colour Of My Love (Used as the Finale Encore) *

The ones that I am 99% certain about are marked with an asterix

I do not remember and would be very, very doubtful about:
Natural Woman
Ziggy
Le Blues Du Businessman

I do remember that she gave a good long concert so I would agree that about 20+ songs would seem about right. I could add more D'eux songs to the above, but I think that 15 years of Live A Paris could have clouded my memory even more. I am currently transferring my TV video collections to DVD, but I don't expect to find anything too revolutionary there. And unfortunatley I was not corresponding with other fans when I went to this show, so I can't look back on any correspondance about it either. But I'll get back on here if I think of anything else.

Don't you remember the opening song? Was it J'attendais? :)
