FNAC.com shows a new box set coming out from Celine, La collection coffret 5CD+DVD  (The Box Set Collection),


Let your imaginations run wild, but my guess is that it will be 5 studio albums plus either the Live a Paris DVD or On ne change pas DVD.

Celine's not the only artist getting one of these box sets, Benebar, Yannick Noah, and Elvis Presley are also getting one.  Interesting how they used the SANS ATTENDRE font.
Time will tell, but till then collectors can salivate.

Because that should be meaning Sony is being logical with Céline, and we know they never are :giggle:

What's logical for the general common sense does not apply to Sony Music and Céline's team.

Yeah, I don't think they'll ever release that.  I still have my VHS copy that was taped from the live television airing (I was also there at the concert) but I worry it's going to not last much longer - I've watched it so many times!

That's awesome!  You can have the VHS transferred to a digital file to keep on a DVD.  I'm not 100% sure how to do it but I know you can.  If nothing else, I know there are services you can probably google to have it done.

Awesome!  Thanks!  My partner probably also knows how to do something like that but I never wanted to bother him - he's busy enough as it is.  There is a COSTCO down the street - I may try them out.   Merci!

If we can't have the Olympia and Millennium concerts dvd's nor behind the scenes (I mean, new worthwhile material) they should invest all this effort for the new album promo.
This  box set is a waste of time and money... :sick:

At least they should make a good video for the single instead this! Is that much to ask? ---> I think the answer is YES

Then don't buy it.  This is a product that is not market for big-time Celine fans.  Mostly for someone who passes by it in a store, sees it, and thinks "what a great way to acquire 5 new discs!".
Believe it or not, most of these products are not aimed for the big fans.

Even the not big fans are going to get tired someday of always seeing this repackaged collections of both her french and english albums combined in all possible forms and shapes and not something new, like a new DVD collection of videos, or a CD with rare tracks.

I doubt that.  Why would they care?  For one thing, good luck finding a package of Celine's French albums in the US.  Even Canada you don't see them. It's cheaper for them to slap a sticker and a box on some albums already produced than to put out a collection of rare songs or DVD.  Naturally the fans want something new.  Furthermore, Celine is too young to be releasing her unreleased stuff,  She needs to wait till she slows down.It's smart of them to put an ensemble like this together for fans that are attracted by LMBTL, so they might possibly pick this set up with the new album.

Exactly! Anymore it's nearly impossible to find a Celine cd in stores in the US (atleast in all the places I've looked). You will find the occasional LTABL, FIY, but mainly the only one still in stores is the My Love: The Essential Collection. None of her French albums are sold in stores here really. Not that this box set will be either probably but it just shows you how hard to is to find Celine CDs, especially her French ones, in certain places. So if I had the money I would probably buy it as it's a way to get 5 CDs and a DVD at one time, thankfully now we have digital music so I am able to have her entire discography and slowly start adding the physical CDs to the collection.

But this is from Fnac.com, France. What makes you think its going to be sold in the US? If that's the case, I see sense in doing this for the US fans, but I doubt this is going to be distributed other than in France and french speaking countries...

I doubt too... Anyway it would be a smart move to ditrubute in the US... As for this "non fan" thing, I clearly agree. I guess this box is supposed to make people want to discover (or re-discover) her repertoire... Especially at a time when there may be ads about her concerts in Paris quite everywhere on french TV & radios

I stated that it wouldbn't be sold in the US. I was simply continuing on what Alex said about how doing stuff like this does serve a purpose in some places.

I was really hoping it would be a box set of Céline's early French studio albums, something which is long overdue.

weirdly as im getting older im appreciating those early songs way way more.
