It's a nice interview, but I agree with whoever said yesterday that she's really selling herself short by characterizing this album as sooo different from anything she's done in the past. When she says she's done 25 albums that were all pretty much "from the same menu" . . that's just not true, and I don't know why she would underestimate herself like that! Yes, most of the songs that were big hits in the US were a pretty similar style . .but the 25 or so albums over the course of her career . .there's a huge diversity of material there. It also feels like she said the exact same things in 2007 about how edgy Taking Chances was.

However...
WHO GIVES A RATS @ss about who Rene-Charles is listening to? This woman has a new album coming out! Lord!
The interviewer has a living legend in the chair in front of her and she's going to ask her about other artists? Get this woman a new job. PLUS, she didn't seem the slightest bit interested in interviewing Celine, though I do admit, it would be weird having the person you're interviewing start singing randomly.
However...

Celine Dion is set to release her first new English-language album in six-years and our very own Natasha Gargiulo was invited to Miami to not only sit down with one of the most talented vocalists of our generation, but enjoy a private listening party from the new album as well.
And boy do we mean "party." Bringing her Vegas audio engineer, installing huge speakers along with a big screen and cutting images for each song, Celine proved that only she can turn a listening party into a spectacle.
"It's different, a different approach, and I'm loving that," Celine tells Natasha about why her new album, Loved Me Back To Life, can be considered her edgiest material yet. Elaborating, the Vegas staple says, "I think I've done more than 25 albums with pretty much the same way of working - the same menu! We know we're going to start with an appetizer, gonna have a main course, have dessert, might have a little glass of wine - sometimes! A little coffee? We're cruising, we know what to expect."
As the chanteuse tells Natasha, she feels like "she's entering into her second career," and another pop diva is entering into her territory. Britney Spears is getting ready to start her tenure in Vegas and Celine says the princess of pop doesn't need any advice from her. "She's been there," Celine tells Natasha, "she's been on stage, she's shook it all out! She's very talented and knows exactly what to do."
Not too shabby, getting a vocal endorsement from Celine Dion herself! Celine does hope that Britney can "find wonderful people who can help her find a balance between the artist that she is and the mother." Adding, "Try to find an emotional balance and cope with those two and be the best of both worlds and I think she can really do it!"

Well maybe not the same albums but in fact she's been promoting the same kind of songs during all her career, with little exceptions. It's been 90% of the cases with ballads and the same kind of music style, almost until Treat Her Like A Lady and That's The Way It Is arrived in 1999. Many great uptempo songs were left aside all these years in favour of the "typical Celine Dion ballad" and I think she means they went too much on a certain kind of "dish" in that menu, so I'm happy she admits that and that she's ready to change that. It was about time she said so. Go girl!

Well I'm glad Celine cut her off with that question again. When is this Miley Cyrus thing going to stop? Are they all gonna ask every singer his/her opinion about Miley now? And about Britney's new show in Vegas too? One time is nice, more is boring, and both ET Canada and eTalk seemed to agree to ask the same questions

Well the media loves to make comparisons and to try to get anything that can provoke any scandal. But you're right, Leave Miley Alone!!
She's doing her thing and the song is great, which is the last thing they're focusing on!We need super Celine fans to interview her. The amount of great questions that could be posed and amazing answers we're missing!
On the really positive side, LOVE the way she looks! Hot, gorgeous, fab!!!
