Wow.. Celine Dion has written a song for Québecois singer Kevin Bazinet, who was the winner of last year's "The Voice (of Québec)"! The song is called 'Come To Me' and will be on Bazinet's new album "Talk To Me" (out Nov 13).

Céline co-wrote the song with Rosanna Ciciola, who also worked on "A World To Believe In" from the "Taking Chances" album. Marc Dupré, who was Bazinet's mentor on The Voice, composed the music. Initially, Céline gave the song to Dupré after heaving its melody stuck in her head... but Dupré decided to give the song to his protogé.

Celine would have to want to do so. Rene has been encouraging her to write her own songs for years, but she sees songwriter and performer as two totally different things. And she has said when she does write melodies, she doesn't see herself singing them.

I think the songs go to Marc Dupre b/C he's part of her family. Marc once said they'd talked about it at family dinners and things.

The instrumental in this is so good! Why on earth hasn't Celine done anything similar?! His vocals are like average... I liked the high parts, the rest sounded bad.

yes, the arrangements are so much better than in Celines Version! She should update her hits and perform them in such a modern way!

Very good question, you're right. If it's good enough for someone else, then it has to be good enough for her. This proves beyond doubt that she can write songs, she can.
