The new album Duets by Paul Anka presents collaborations with Celine Dion (It's Hard To Say Goodbye), Frank Sinatra (My Way), Michael Jackson (This Is It) and many others, includes a brand new songs and some new versions features either new vocals or musical instrumentation. A new 14 song collection Duets is set to release 9 April 2013 through Legacy Recordings.

I'll never forget the moment I found this song, and that she had recorded also a spanish version of it :in_love: I was so excited to run into the store to buy the CD, "Amigos".

I heard It's Hard to Say Goodbye on the radio in New York -- once -- around 1998.  I have it on a cassette tape that I taped off the radio and never knew where else to find it!

The official site just posted: Celine and Paul Anka originally recorded the duet “It’s Hard To Say Goodbye” for his album A Body Of Work released in 1998. Written by Paul Anka, Jack White and Mark Spirto, this song will also be included on Anka’s new Duets CD, to be released next month. Did you know that Celine and Paul also recorded a Spanish version of this song titled "Mejor decir adios" with Celine singing in Spanish and Paul in English. Can you name other songs Celine has sung in Spanish?

Honestly I find this version really great. Their voices fit very well together and they sing it extremely fine. I believe this song must be her number one when it comes to true love: what shows true love better than showing you're willing to support the one you love even if that includes you'll have to support that person in leaving you to find happiness with someone else - most unselfish love, totally unconditional.

I really love this duet. One of my all time favorite duets. It should have been released as a single back in the day.

I heard the extended version of the song on a french streaming website (http://www.deezer.com/fr/album/6407798), I don't know if it's available for you guys outside of France.

It's quite interesting to hear it. At the end of the song, you have the ending part like in "Mejor Decir Adios" but with English improvisations. It shouldn't have been shortened back in 1998, cause it's always great to have that little improvisations on studio recordings.
