Has anyone noticed that the video of PAMP has been viewed by more than 3,5 mln people already! It's awesome!

up to #15 in France!
Parler A Mon Pere deserves to be #1. It could become her longest-running french single on France's charts. (PQTME spent 34 weeks, and "Et S'il N'en Restait Qu'Une" spent 33).

I'm in awe of how great and deservedly this finally became a hit. I was
in July when it dropped the charts so fast, I thought it was going to be a flash in the pan. Thank God it rebounded and big time.

I think "Parler A Mon Pere" has been running on the Top Songs Chart in France for 25 weeks already. If it stays for another 17 weeks it could surpass "Pour Que Tu M'aimes Encore" as her longest-running single in France. It's maybe a bit too optimistic, but it could happen

I knew that this album would have succes but I have to admitt that I didn't expect it to be this strong ! I guess that this proves that Céline (like we know) can still do it ! Since it's such a different album, it's fun for her mostly to have succes with something a bit different. Go Céline !

Merci Céline pour ces deux soirées inoubliables que j'ai passées à tes côtés. Je ne les oublierais jamais.
J't'adore Céline.
Merci.

Yeah that's pretty amazing. It's a very "intimate" and "low-profile" album. I remember many comments saying the material wasn't commercial, the album cover wasn't commercial... biggest-selling 2012 release in France
That proves quality still counts. This album is a lot better than D'elles. "D'elles" wasn't Céline on most of the tracks. Just some masquerade.

Some people won't believe it, but PAMP was actually one of the secrets behind this album's success. A lot of people that found Céline a little overwhelming actually liked this song.
I was reading the comments at PAMP's official video on Vevo, and for instance you get this one:
"Céline Dion is certainly the least favourite amongst my artists, but this song has truly touched my heart! Beautiful music + beautiful lyrics = amazing song. (and I'm gonna add 'a beautiful voice' so that Dion's fans don't start to bash me)"
That's what I meant!

I'm glad that she recorded this song as an homage to her father, her number 1 fan. The "Dance With My Father" song was not so touching for me because it was a cover and IMO Luther's version is better, but this one really threw the ball out of the park with the way it's written and produced.

If she only promoted this song a bit more.. some live versions in France, especially in January that she has no competition, PAMP would surely rise to the top 3 in France! I mean, it's holding steady at #15 after 6 months! Do you guys realise what an accomplishment that is?
This album can't match the success D'eux had only because she doesn't have time to promote it. If she did, she would be selling out concerts at the Stade de France by now! And it could chart really high (top 40) until the dawn of 2014!

Tomorrow we'll see if she re-enters the top 10 in France. If she doesn't, I hope she stays inside the top 20!

The first video had reached 500k views before it got deleted, so if the current video got 4.4m views, the actual number stands at 4.9m.

I made this comparative chart between PQTME's first 30 weeks on the French chart, and PÀMP's current run:

Thank you LuisMa! But I don't get it.
This article:
http://en.wikipedia....rais_celle-lÃ)
...says that PQTME stayed 34 weeks in the charts. But according to that chart run it doesn't look that she disappeared 4 weeks later. Wikipedia must be wrong. Do you have the correct info?

Yes, that's why I wrote that it's PQTME's first 30 weeks on the chart, as PÀMP is still a few weeks to catch it up.
The other weeks for PQTME are:
31 - #7
32 - #14
33 - #39
34 - #182
35 - #109
The last two are reentries in 2012.

So PQTME just fell off the carts that quicky? wow!

Probably the CD single had been deleted not to cannibalize the sales of the album, a practice held by many labels throughout the 90s.

Yeah but still through radio it could have held up, I mean, it was a megahit!
Parler A Mon Pere is not charting due to singles sales!

I believe the French charts do not combine airplay and sales, dear Mike!
And PÀMP is charting because of the digital sales.

Only digital? wow...
Cuz probably most of the people that listen to this song doesn't even know how to use iTunes.
So it's probably a bigger hit than we think.
Do PAMP stand chances of beating PQTME as her longest-charting french single ever. I'd say YES!

I guess so. The advantage it has over PQTME is, as I said, that the song is available for good, so until the day people aren't constantly buying it as a digital track, it will fall off the chart. Had PQTME been kept available as a physical single longer, it definitely would have logged a lot more weeks on the French chart.
Also, it is important to note that the last two weeks PQTME has spent on the chart were due to digital sales, as it did reenter in 2012.
