Fantastic news!  It's great to know that new material is on the way and at least some of it is brand new songs. And boy do those songs sound interesting!? A duet with Ne-yo? Wow!

The Vegas covers were always likely to come whether it was on this album or another so I suppose it's good to get them out of the way now, and I'll admit I've always been hoping for a studio version of "Open Arms", the others I don't really care for though.

October isn't far away (perfect for the Christmas sales!), I do hope we see a decent promtional tour and the first single can't be long away - PLEASE pick an original song for the first single.

It's early June, so we are about 4 months away from the release of the album. I don't think the lead single is too far from us now!!

I'm quite unsure about Ne Me Quitte Pas, maybe she recorded the English version If You Go Away for the English album and the original one for the French release? I guess we'll have to wait and see... Or maybe she does something like she did back in 2003 with Je T'aime Encore on both the English and French albums that year.

Although I am slightly disappointed the Vegas covers are still there, I am very impressed with what Celine and Rene have both said regarding the new projects and the music industry today. These interviews are a breath of fresh air, it's like they've finally opened their eyes for the first time since 2002, they seem more "down with the kids" now which is great to see!

when i first heard water & flame i instantly thought of Sarah Brightman's Symphony album

So no the English album is going to be released first? So much to-ing and fro-ing with the info on these albums. But I don't care, it makes everyday worth waiting for. This is very exciting news. Not sure about the title yet, but its very different to what we are used to from Celine, so for that alone I am stoked. It will grow on me I'm sure.
And thanks for the link to the song "Love & War" Davey. You are right I expect, it must surely be on the album. Wonder if she is going to do it as a duet? You could make it into a solo track too i think, wouldn't be too difficult to do that.

Also, Celine said she admires Adele so much, and that she is so happy to see her succeed. She is fascinated by her and hopes to meet her.
And she likes her songs so much that she would love to sing them all.  So the Michael Jackson medley in Vegas will be replaced by Rolling in The Deep!!!

I'm very happy with the change and the collaboration with Adell's writers and don't get me wrong but I think it's a little sad that a legend like Celine will pay tribute to a newcomer like Adell. Should be the other way around

Do you guys think that song Water and a Flame posted earlier is actually the song Celine will record? Celine said in the interview that Francis Eg White (Adele's collaborator) wrote a song for her and that it was a great experience working with him. So why would he give her a song that was already recorded...???

Maybe Celine has no idea... just like when she recorded If You Asked Me To (she didn't know it was Patti Labelle's song).

For me, singing Rolling in the deep is not paying tribute to Adele, it's just singing her song. Madonna is singing Gaga's Born this way in her new tour..

Grrreat. So the past week we had Céline saying in another article that they had rejected the idea of including Vegas covers in the album in favour of a full original album, and today we have this. Well, I supposes it had to happen in the end...

So we really had to wait 5 years to have just half a new album? We have had to wait FIVE years to see Céline record 5-6 new songs? We've seen them 2 years back and forth with the news about the album just to know that in the end they were only considering half the album for the new songs? I'm disappointed.

Of course, I'm excited about the 2 new original songs they have announced, but just for these. I can't stand any of those Vegas covers, only "Open Arms" sounds appealing to me.

But I like the album title. It sounds intriguing (but all the mystery fades away when we know that half the album is a cheat )

To me, that only means this album can be amazing or also a complete disaster. It's like mixing oil with water the "concept" they've chosen (if it can be said they ever had a concept in mind for this album )

I just hope the order of the songs in the tracklists makes some sense between all this mixup.

Sorry, doing another cover for the show and this time a cover from a recent song and not so historical star? pfffff She is the greatest singer of all time and she doesn't behave like one..
And where did you get the info that Adele's song would replace MJ? I'd be more than happy if it would replace Stevie Wonder's duet which is random too... MJ medley should stay. It's the wisest cover choice for the show (inspiration for Celine etc)
and sorry after such a long time and info that they have abandoned the cover project they return to it? So I doubt we'll get a new album in 2013... And release them at the same time? At least one of them is set for failure if not both. Stupid idea. that's all

I think the EG White song is "Didn't know love"

Yes it is like Javito said, first they promise this and they do the opposite.
And about Rene's favour to those fans who ask for the songs of the show in the boutique..
Do a better research who Celine's fans are. Fans do not only consist of people that visit Vegas
and also visit Celine, because she is one of the major attractions overthere.
Of course they are also diehard fans who come really only for her , to see her.
But there is a large amount of fans that don't Visit Vegas, who really are dying to hear
a new Celine, not the coverceline in Vegas.

With these albums Celine can make some good for the fans that don't visit Vegas
by giving new music. But no, first they say we have changed the concept and will make
a full new album, and no Vegas covers, and in the end we still get them :-S

And just what Javito said, better make a live-album for all these people who so desperately want
those songs. She could have made a difference between the Vegas show and a new fresh album.
Well, I haven't listened to it yet, but those 6 songs or more could have been great new songs,
and that is a pity I think.
By the way, since the song Overjoyed is on the album, I can see them releasing this song
as a single, since it can be a duet with Stevie Wonder. Maybe they think it has potential in the charts..
