POPULAR
Am I the only one who loves reading the liner notes in Celine's albums? I love reading her thank you's -- they are usually so detailed and sweet. Here are two interesting ones -- her thank yous to Rene from the time period when they were together but hadn't revealed their love to the world:
From Dion Chante Plamondon (1991): "And, finally, thank you, my dear Rene, for your gigantic heart and the wonderful way you look after us."
From Celine Dion (1992): "To Rene Angelil: There are not enough words to express the feeling and the gratitude that I have for you. Thank you! I love you!"
And it's funny when you find out something that makes the liner notes make more sense . . for instance, in her Celine Dion (1992) liner notes, she writes "To James Horner, Michael Gorfaine, and David Foster, thank you for your support." I have no idea who Michael Gorfaine is, but according to her official bio, James Horner and David Foster wanted her for the song "Dreams to Dream" from An American Tail around this time, and even recorded it with her until the producers decided to go with Linda Ronstadt because no one knew of Celine then.
Interesting stuff!

The first thing I do when I receive a new Album is read her thankyou's.

DO NOT STEAL MY SIGNATURE
"It's hard in a recording studio, because I'm infront of a microphone, I have to imagine all of you and then I'm able to sing the songs for you...Now I'm still infront of a microphone, with all of you right infront of me, to see all of your faces, That's why I still do it!" (wild applause) thankyou for the flowers - Celine after a flower moment 9-22-08

Yup and James later made it up to her with MHWGO
it's interesting because celine was really heartbroken over the "dreams to dream" debacle. she said years later that the melody of that song still enters her head

I read the liner notes on most albums I buy, no matter what artist. My philosophy is that since they took the time to write them, we should read them!
I agree that some of Céline's have been interesting. I've noticed that parts of her early liner notes have corresponded with events described in her biographies.
"The measure of love is to love without measure."

I read the thankyou's for any album I get too, Celine's are the one's that are really precious though.

I hope no one minds me bringing back a really old but good topic. But does anyone know, since I cannot actually see to read album liner notes, if any are online anywhere? I've never read liner notes before, of anyone, and always wanted to. I read so much here about how detailed her thank you's are to people and I would love to experience that. Does anyone know where one could be read somewhere online?
L'immensite de mon amour pour Celine! L'amour existe encore pour elle! :)

You mean reading the lyrics on the Internet? There are tons of websites listing her lyrics, but here's a good fan-made website including all her songs and lyrics, as well as her discography. They are listed in alphabetical order if that helps

Edit: oh sorry, now I realize you mean reading the booklet credits! Sorry I'm not sure if they are transcribed somewhere online. No idea honestly
