Dick Clark dead at 82
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Famed television personality Dick Clark died of a heart attack Tuesday morning in Los Angeles, his spokesman confirms. Clark was 82.

Clark is best known for hosting long-running television shows such as "American Bandstand," the game show "Pyramid" and "Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve."

Clark had been in St. John's Hospital in Santa Monica, Calif. after undergoing an outpatient procedure Tuesday night. He suffered the heart attack following the procedure and that attempts to resuscitate him were unsuccessful.

Clark is survived by his wife, Kari, and his three children.

I am not sure too many of you know this, but Dick Clark also hosted a top 20 radio count down called `Dick Clark US Music Survey`. My station played it every Saturday night and I hated to miss it...
It never felt like New Year until/unless he counted down. I stayed up on purpose just to see it. Like I said on another thread, Ryan Seecrest is great and he will have to do, but it will never ever be the same. Rest In Peace we will miss you so...
