Is it just me or her message seems way more natural on the French video? The English one looks too scripted to me :shrug:

Hopefully she's preparing something timeless!

By the way, here's a couple of more Holiday videos I've just found.



I remember her old website had many more videos that are no longer online. One of them was a video message in which she said Happy New Year in several languages and also talked about the TC tour. (I believe it was one of the first times she spoke about the tour in public).

I wish there was a way to get all those videos back... :( I've always loved her video messages, I know, I'm the ultimate freak lol.

Inevitably yes the French version is a lot more natural and yes the English version probably is scripted.

I'll never understand this though. I've read a few times that she can look over the lyrics and listen to a song one time and know the song. Why can't she do the same with a short message and deliver it in a more natural tone?

Sounds strange I know for someone who is used to standing up in front of thousands of people, but I've always assumed it's a self confidence thing. Her English when she goes freestyle can be hit and miss, so I guess she feels better having that back up. Again I assumed that's why she used to rely, and still does to a degree, on pre-learned speeches during shows.

Those speeches are definitely more fluid than these videos though. I'm sure if she spent an hour or two reciting it before she records these videos, she'd be fine. Instead of just reading off the TelePrompTer a few times and picking the best out of 5, as with this method, her sentences come off broken and her pauses while speaking break up what she's saying in an unnatural way.

Yes that was exactly my thought! Wearing black clothes against a black background is something we all know doesn't work. That is why i think this message was a last minute decision. Glad she gave one though. Perfect is not always possible  

Though i just can't understand that 2 concerts have been filmed and are not released. Maybe we will see them later..suddenly as a surprise we did not expect anymore;)
