You also forgot her Collector's Series Volume One album, and her CD of Live In Las Vegas. That adds at least a million more copies.
Exactly...and this is only in ONE country....so I don't see why people see it impossible that with the REST OF THE WORLD she couldn't have sold 200 million albums. If sales are roughly around 50 million albums in the U.S. there's absolutely no reason that with 6 other continents, that she couldn't sell 150 million.

We already told you that not all music markets are equal.
If we already know the sales certifications for all the huge markets (and many small markets), are you saying she sold 25 million records in Papua New Guinea?
Record labels exaggerate. A LOT. It's common knowledge. They're selling a product. Does it even make sense when a label claims they have the best selling artist in the world? How would they know for sure if they only have the sales of the artists on their label? There's at least 4 female artists who are referred to by their labels in press releases as being "the best selling female artist of all time".

I know not all music markets are equal. And I know that record labels count their numbers based on units SHIPPED. My point is that it is possible for the number to be up to 200 million without "Titanic" OST being included in her "sales" because it's not. It's not a Celine Dion album. I'm just trying to get across that with the number in the United States alone being just under 50 million, that with China, Japan, the UK (which are probably the 3 biggest music markets next to the U.S.) and everywhere else that her music is purchased, that it is more than possible for the number of Celine Dion albums "sold" to be 200 million. I'm not arguing about her being the best selling female artist right now. I'm arguing the fact that TITANIC is not part of Celine's certifications. They never said ever, "Celine Dion's Titanic Soundtrack Album has sold blah blah blah" This is because it's a separate entity.

And don't forget about her French albums!!!
Just "D'eux" itself is at over 6 million albums sold worldwide, if not more!!
And all her Best of albums. I'm sure she can hit 200 million albums without Titanic Soundtrack.
Shipped - maybe, but definitely NOT sold. Its just a marketing gimmick used by Sony during the Taking Chances promo tour. In 2004, it was 175 million, and Heaven alone knows how she sold 25million in the 3 years of obscurity in Vegas
As for the question by the OP, yes, the sales of the OST is factored in and it is totally wrong when Sony does it as Celine can't claim it her album with just one track.
Why do those people who have no idea about the music markets around the world and the certifications and sales numbers available keep arguing? There are many people who do it as almost a second job to track down actual sales and shipments of big artists, people who know what they are talking about, and yet you still get some who hypothetically want to make the numbers suit their wishes. You know what, Celine sold 300 million without the OST. Happy now? or maybe that is too little?

BTW D'eux is between 7.5 and 8 million worldwide
Couldn't agree with you more, Patrick!
I'm so over this thread
PS. Tyler, no point in clearing out the facts. Some aren't even gonna bother with them
Céline Dion, music's greatest ever singer, the biggest-selling Canadian artist of all-time and most successful female live act ever - what's not to love?

Which is why on more than one occasion I pointed out that it was numbers SHIPPED not SOLD...and this is what the record companies base their numbers off of. I did my own research. I didn't just pull numbers out of the sky. I just don't understand why it would even be a question that TITANIC OST would be part of Celine's certifications based on ONE song that appeared on it. It appeared on LTAL, which is part of Celine's numbers. The OST, is not part of her certifications as it is not part of her discography or catalog.

I didn't read the whole topic so sorry if I repeat something that's already been said. I think that in certain parts of the world the Titanic song really helped Celine music sell better. I myself know many people here in Bulgaria who bought the LTAL album because of this single song.

Yes I agree Titanic song really helped Céline (much more people know her because of MHWGO) but also MHWGO by Céline helped Titanic movie.
