****UPDATED 8/26:  RIBBON PROJECT CANCELLED

I'm very sad to announce that last night Aldo advised us that since Rene is not well and will not be attending opening night in person, we no longer have the green light for this project. I'm extremely disappointed as we all put ao much time, effort and love into this project to have this happen now.

I will keep everyone posted if anything changes.

Personally, I don't think he truly understands that this is the whole point of the project regardless of whether or not Rene is there. It's about showing our love and support. But that's all I'll say for now....

Myself and a few other fans are working on a pretty massive ribbon project for opening night. Over 4000 ribbons are being purchased by a very generous fan to be handed out opening night to everyone in the theater for maximum impact. It's to show our love and support for Celine and Rene. Just wanted to spread the word for all attending opening night.

Here are the ribbons!  

******UPDATE!!!! The are a few of us have worked tirelessly to put all the ribbons together.  Now they are all done.........all 5,000 of them!  Can't wait to see everyone wearing these opening night.  Several of us will be positioned inside the theater and out handing them out.

As of now the 4000 ribbons have been ordered. Now comes the process of putting them together once they come in. This duty we've split among us. We'll keep you posted on the progress!

Thanks to those want to help. We may need some people to help hand them out. Ushers will be helping with this as well. As the time gets closer we'll start really narrowing down what may need to be done, etc.

Also we'll be leaving ribbons for Celine, Rene and Celine's team. It seems everyone is in on this.

Some more info about the ribbons:

--Left side: "The Colour of OUR Love"
--Right side: "Team Rene"
This is what would fit on them completely.  

We'll definitely get lots of pictures opening night!  And once they're put together, I'll post one so y'all can see what they look like.

Some have asked about monetary donations.  We're still working this aspect out but right now the general consensus, if you'd like to contribute, setting up a donation to the Celine Dion Foundation.  I'll keep you posted on this, if we're able to, and some possible other options if we're not.  This is turning into quite the project/surprise for Celine & Rene on opening night.

I live here in Vegas so if you need one more person outside I can do that. My ticket is for the 30th, so I won't get into theater but can help outside if need be. Just let me know.

I think about this too. I think she'll definitely take time to grieve but i also think she'll continue on for him.
