I don't think the set list will change so soon - at least not songs that wasn't rehearsed.
I also think that they want the fans to have the setlist 'sink in' - initial impression is one thing, the final impression is another.
ANYONE RECORDING? Even on their phones or something?
Selv tak, Céline!

I Haven't seen the show yet but i do completely agree with you. If i were the director I would have done some things differently but oh well. What really makes me excited for this show is that for the first time in her career its kinda like CELINE unplugged, or the closest we're going to get.. I feel like its less produced and more Celine doing what she wants, which i love.

Main thing was there were a few technical glitches. They seemed to have sone problems with the moving stairs. They stayed off stage (half in view) during Beauty and the Beast. So we had Celine completely alone under a spotlight until Barnev walked out on stage to join her. The orchestra then remained off stage during Ne Me Quitte Pas. It rolled in for All By Myself. But the backing singers stools were empty during the whole dong. (I can't remember if they also were during the last two shows)
Mego's steps seemed to have a lighting plan of their own during RDMH, at one stage going all different colours while everyone elses remained the sad colour. At another point it didn't light up at all.
But the major technical glitch was that the silks refused to fall during Open Arms. They remained up untill the end of the song and then fell (and thankfully swept away) Celine joked about it saying they were meant to fall much earlier than that and that she could almost call it a wardrobe malfunction. It was a pity for those that hadn't seen it before. You could tell there was a problem.
However the woman herself was in fantastic voice, really delivered throughout. There was a lovely in-take of breath at the end of The Reason that I hadn't heard before. She didn't display visible tears during NMQP but did appear to wipe them away after the song. Also she once again changed the artists she credits duetting with. The Bee Gees were not mentioned, Elvis once again was. She also conversed a bit with the audience, Asking children in the front row (yes, I know) how old they were, and relating them to R.C. The ball "joke" also seemed a but less scripted.
There were sone Red Heads over in one corner who had practised a dance routine for LCMM and she remarked upon. It. She also pointed and high fiver audience members a lot. Finally she walked down the opposite side of the gold railing between orch 3 and 4. So this time those sitting at the edge of Orch 3 were a tad closer.
Can't think of too much else to mention. A technically troubled but vocally strong show. And once again she commanded the stage.
Oh, and I did record it.

Wow! Thanks for the great in-depth review, John! I'm sorry to hear about all the technical glitches. While they are great fun for those of us who have seen the show already, it is unfortunate for those who have not. Hopefully everything will be figured out soon. I just hope they don't get rid of the white curtain during "Open Arms" altogether like they did for "Et je t'aime encore" in A New Day... While that curtain actually tore, there was no attempt to have it repaired and the video screen was put in its place. I hope "Open Arms" doesn't suffer the same fate. We'll see what happens.
Get some rest, John.
Take care and it was great meeting you on the 15th!

Celine originally wanted it to be the show's opening number, but Rene smacked her down in regards to that idea. It's moments like these that I wish Rene would just step down as her manager.

Which is even worse. So much for "taking chances". Anyway, that's an entirely different topic for an entirely different thread.
I wonder what the members of the orchestra, her band and her backup singers were thinking during "Open Arms" when the curtain didn't fall. LOL
