I apologize if there is already a topic for this or if it's been discussed elsewhere..

Just wondering if anyone has heard or knows if the Celine Wax Figure still exists at the Colloseum? I know they wouldnt have it there for the Bette Midler show and cher but do you think they'll bring it back out for this show for pictures?

hi emailed caesars palace last week aabout the wax and to see if it will be on show for photos like it was in "a new day "  and they replyed back:

I remembered seeing this question somewhere and couldn't remember where it went! I was there last night and yes it's back.  Like what was already said, it's through the front doors on the left.  I couldn't get a close look because a lot of people were around it getting pictures but I'm pretty sure it's the same one as last time in her MHWGO oscar dress.

by the way , the vegas wax celine is kind of okay, but they could have pushed it way further.. I had expected more of it. And the one in musee griffin, like I have seen it on various pix, does not look like her in my opinion

Where exactly is this wax figure located ? Also I read somewhere that you can get your picture taken beside it, for a fee ? If so how much, and is the quality of the picture good ?

the wax figure is her 1998 oscars red carpet.  the dark navy dress, with her hair pulled back, and the giant blue "heart titanic" necklace on.  the figure is her with one hand placed over her heart.

i was there opening two nights and saw it.

i cant remember exactly on the price because i didnt have a pic taken, but i believe the lady monitoring the line said it was $35.  but i could be wrong dont quote me on that part!


the figure is pretty realistic...but realistic as she looked on the red carpet in 1998.  still neat and a great thing for charity, but too bad they didnt dress her up from a new day or TCWT.

and the figure is donated from the Grevin wax museum in france.  to my knowledge, ive been told no madame tussaud's has ever had a celine figure.  (surprising they dont at least at the vegas one!!)

I took a pic with this wax figure on the opening night as a memorabilia of that special evening.

You can't take pics with your own camera (and you usually have to check it in anyway).
There's a professional photographer who takes pictures and you can buy them after the show.
If you have any bags, jackets or other items that you carry with you but don't want to have them on the photo, you can leave it for a few minutes at an employee next to the statue while you're waiting in the line. I left my bag and jacket there so I had free hands.

The photographer took 3 pics of us: one of me and my hubby standing on both sides of the figure, one of me standing next to the figure and than one with me still standing next to the figure and my husband standing by my other side. After the show you can go to the counters where they sell the photos. They already have choosen 2 pics for us, they said the 3rd one wasn't that good. I don't know if they always select the photos or whether sometimes you can choose yourself which one(s) you want. They put the photos in nice sturdy covers/displays.

The price is quite high, $45 per photo, but I decided to pay it for 1 photo for 2 reasons: 1) I wanted to have this as a souvenir from the opening night 2) the money raised from these photos goes to Celine Foundation.

Later, at the hotel, I was surprised to find a Celine Foundation logo pin in my bag with the photo - apparently they give you this as a "thank you" for your donation to the charity - a nice gesture and a cute little pin.

I can post my pic with the statue here later on if there's an interest.
