yea but that article was dated back to almost 3 years ago & it also mentioned quite a few other singers & musicians that also get quite a few millions of bucks to do private gigs as well, so i wouldnt say that celine is the most expensive singer ever, thats not 100% true actually... even tho it is kinda surprising that celine & some other acts that were also listed in that article such as george michael, the rolling stones, the eagles, (& yes im a fan of all of these acts i just listed), charge quite a bit to perform for just one show for just an hour lol, i think its kinda weird...

I wonder why there is such a big difference between Celine and the other artists?

That's not actually surprising. I had heard something that at the start of this vegas show she was getting paid like a half a million a show. And then she gets paid 33 million a year. It's crazy.

It's because they are (usually) class acts - they're the ones who can charge what they want for a private show. Elton John is another. Celine usually donates her fee though.

It's because she is the best singer out of all of them with the most talent and she has been around for so long, so she has legendary status. People who are legends in the business get treated like legends. Which comes with lots of $$$$$

Also keep in mind she is busy most of the time with her Vegas residency and what free time she does have is usually occupied by something else or her children, so I imagine her busy and tight schedule is a reason for the higher price tag as well simply because her time is quite lucrative.

As if a single of one of them actually needs more money!
I'll give them props though, I'd take an extra million for one hour of my time.
Glad to see Celine is worth more compared to the others, for whatever reason!

Christina Aguilera did on new years a private show in Moscow for some billionaires for 7 million dollars... 2014!
