Hi everyone!

This is very premature (with the premiere being over a year away), but I am hoping to organize a "welcome back" type book for Celine as she returns to Las Vegas.

This project will be similar to the "A New Day: Our Stories" book project that around 70 fans took part in for the finale of A New Day years ago. (If you're not familiar, you can see some pictures here)

Since this book isn't going to commemorate years of our attendance, it most likely won't have pages that are as specific to each individual the same way that the previous book did. However, I am looking for some really creative ideas that we could incorporate into the book.  We have some time on this one, and I think we can make it really special. Celine has a copy of the "Our Stores" book, and I've heard from a number of people that she was really touched by it!  I think this could be a great way to welcome her back.

but it's welcome back book mmmm maybe some pic from AND (just some / few)
include if possible fan pics with Celine (where and when) and a little note from the fan saying welcome back notes

A few ideas I've had so far...

- Each person's name & photo (a must)... and perhaps a small paragraph?
- World map - with lines drawn from our locations to Las Vegas, indicating where we've all traveled from
- "Welcome back" written in many languages - representing her cross-cultural fanbase who will be travelling to Vegas for her

...not sure what else. With the last book, of course each person got their own page that talked about their AND experiences. Since we have no experiences with this show, I'm not sure what the bulk of the book will be just yet. We'll make it work! Keep the ideas flowing.

Sawasdee Everyone!

Since Celine's new show will revolve around theme of classic romantic films....how about if we each share our favorite classic romantic films with Celine in welcoming her back? She seems to be inspired by love, and so we can share a little of our inspirations from films that speak of love.  We are all already inspired by her music...let's share with her some films that we've watched and give her our reviews!  Maybe she'll take our advice and rent some movies to watch at home with RC and Rene (who knows?!?!)

This might be a silly idea, but how about making the photos similar? Like everyone could be wearing a certain color shirt against a certain color wall and making the heart sign (you know what I mean, right?) with their hands? Or something along those lines?

(My idea came from the NO8 Campaign. )

Salla - awesome idea!  I was thinking of something along those lines, where we all hold something similar (like a letter on a piece of paper) to spell out a sentence or something. The heart sign & color idea is really awesome!

Yay, i'm glad you like it! Maybe we could all make half a heart and connect our photos to make a bunch of hearts? Dunno how that could be made into a book, though.

What a wonderful idea this book is and great brainstorming so far, especially from Salla!
I liked sunnyceline's idea a lot, too, in that it has this one theme that binds it together.

I just want to throw in one more:
How about a general theme of "Welcome Home, Celine"?
As we can't share any experiences on the new show itself, this could have the double meaning of "inviting" her to our lives/homes where we mostly listen to her:
maybe a short story and a photo of each participant (at home) telling what their favourite song/album is, when they like to listen to her songs, which songs they'd like to hear her perform this time around... or something like that.

It would be kind of returning a favour, the chance to see her home in Vegas again.

If this sounds stupid, just shoot me, but I think she could appreciate something like this; simple as it sounds.
And it wouldn't be too difficult or expensive for fans to realise.

Whatever it will be, I'd be happy to participate!

1 - Yes for sure
2 - For those that will go or have been to Vegas, it's a great idea, but we do we want to include those that can't make it? Or is this project just for people who are going or have been to Vegas?
3 - Definately.  At the end of the book, maybe we could also use the photos of the Thank You signs from the end of the TCWT concerts in different languages to thank HER.

I like the idea of incorporating the Hollywood theme somehow.  I guess once it gets closer and we have a better idea of what she is singing it will be easier to decide.

Brilliant ideas.  We could have a 2 page spread with thumbnail size pics of people from every country spelling out a sentence and the country name written under each pic.

i dont know if it actually needs more... we dont know how many of us will take part and if we are many, the book will be huge!!! [i dont know if she'll have the time to read it if it has too many pages....]

I just have a few hang-ups on some of the ideas:

1. World Tour experiences - we would just have to be careful about this, since it's not a "world tour" book (and we're welcoming her BACK to this one city)
2. Craziest Things - I don't want to come across as crazy stalkers. When I put myself in her shoes... this part sounds frightening.

I understand your issue with the "map" idea, but basically the point of the book was to welcome her back to Vegas and to illustrate just how many people are flying into Vegas from all over the world to see HER. Not everyone has tickets NOW, of course, but within a year it's possible that many more people will have an idea of whether or not they're going - at some point.

Agreed - I don't want to make it too wordy. The LAST one was wordy, but it was all about our stories & memories - really commemorative. While I do know that Celine got that book and skimmed through it (and read some)... I bet she didn't actually READ it.  This has to be easily read... with lots of pretty pictues, lol.

I think it would be very cool to do a book of photos.....if we mainly do a book of photos, maybe we can be creative with the "WELCOME BACK"....meaning bewteen each page of photos, there is one page preceding it with a cut out letter.."W"....photo page...."E'...photo page....."L"...photo page.....but actually that would make it a 22+ page book...hmmmm

If I can be of any help and/or take part in it - than count me in!

I remember there were other book projects in the past. One Polish friend of mine has a fan-made book that is about memories of fans who have attended "AND" show. I don't know who did organie that project but the book turned really neat and Céline seem to even recognize this book when she was in Poland and the guy gave it to her to sign autograph on his page. I would really love to by a part of a similair project!

Than, I remember on this forum someone started a project for a "World Tour" book with our photos and tour experiences. I applied my entry as well but than I lost the thread and later on I've never heard anything on that project anymore... Did this book really made it? I'd love to get a copy too but can't find any info...

If that world tour project failed than maybe we can use entries for that book for this new one?
I mean, I understand you want a "welcome back" book and there were already some great ideas posted here but, as we don't have any memories of the new show yet, it would be nice to share our tour experiences with Céline. If not as an entire book than just as a part of it??

And yeah, last but not least, I also think it wouldn't do well to us to come out as crazy stalkers or creepy fanatics, hehe...
Even if I have fun on watching, for example, people making them look as similair to Céline as possible (same makeup, hairdo, big glasses etc.) or other such kinda things, I recon it's not good to include this in a book for her - we want to show her that we love her and that we miss her when she's on break etc. but we also want to show her that we have a life, right?
