let me start:
"D'eux", which was released in 1995. It has since become the best selling French language album of all times! In France, it remained number one for 44 weeks, and the first single, "Pour que tu m'aimes encore" was number one for 16 weeks!

The album These Are Special Times has set a record in terms of first week sales for a holiday album on Billboard.

Celine has 2 albums that have been certified diamond in the US (FIY and LTAL).  The only other female artist to score 2 diamond albums in the US is Shania Twain (unless I missed others).

But Celine was the first female singer who has 3 consecutive nr.1 albums(english) in UK.

Celine was the first, but not the only.

Alison Krauss sang twuce on 2004 Oscars.
and Beyonce sang three times on 2005 Oscars.

All The Way was # 1 on Billboard for 3 weeks too. but A New Day Has Come was her first album debut as #1 on Billboard. but this is a record of herself only, not worldwide.

She is also the bestselling album in Europe at 40 million. The artist in second place is Madonna with around 20 million.

Also, according to IFPI, the album Lets Talk About Love has been certified 10 million in Europe. This is the first and only album to have reached that recognition.

'My Heart Will Go On' the CD single scanned 360,000 copies in it's first week of sales; as far as I know that's the highest opening sales for a single by a female artist in history.

She's also the artist with the most time at No. 1 on the Adult Contemporary chart, and the only female artist to have four albums sell six million copies or more on the US.

I think she is the first, if not the only artist to have 3 albums on the French Top 20: D'eux, FIY, and LAP.

D'eux is also the bests elling French album of all time, 4 million i think!

D'eux is also the best selling album in France in any language!

D'eux is also the first if not the only french album to be certified gold in the UK

Celine was also the very first Quebec artist to receieve a gold record in france with D'amour ou D'amitie

TLYM was the first english song in 12 years to top the Japanese Singles Chart

If i remember correctly, D'eux was also the album that stayed the longest on top of the French albums chart for, i think, 44 weeks.. and guess what on the 45th week it was dislodged from the top spot by none other than Celine herself with her then new album FIY!! hahaah Celine beating herself!

MHWGO was the first if not the only song two have its two singles sell 1 million copies each in the UK.

Think twice and TCOML stayed on top of the UK Singles and Albums chart simultaneously for 5 straight  weeks (last accomplished by Beatles), and Think Twice, i think, stayed on top for two more weeks if im not mistaken

I also think in Canada, Celine has the most no.1 albums with 7 or 8 i think..and also in France i think.

In Canada, LTAL remains the biggest first week sales for an album with 200k+ i think..

In canada also, i think Celine was the first one two have two or three consecutive (english) albums to be certified diamond (10x platinum or 1 millliom copies)...

I think at the Juno's, she only the 2nd artist to have the most awards 19 or 20.. and at the Felix, i think she has one of the most awards 30+


These records are for major music markets only... i'm sure that in other european countries and other parts of the world, she surely has broken more records...

And also, this may not yet be on record, but i think she is the most awarded female artist.... her trophies and awards might already be close to 200...

Actually, it was 650,000 copies.  The song was #1 for 2 weeks before a piece of crap known as Gettin' Jiggy Wit It took over.

Here's a few more:

To Love You More was the first song by a North American artist to debut at #1 in Japan.

It's All Coming Back To Me Now holds the record for most weeks at #2 on the Pop Radio chart (7 weeks).

Have You Ever Been in Love holds the record for most weeks at #2 on the AC chart (15 weeks).

Because You Loved Me was responsible for ending Mariah Carey's record 16 week reign at #1 on the Hot 100.

I believe Celine has also been declared the top selling Canadian artist of all time.

Celine is the Best selling Female artist in the WORLD of ALL TIME. that's certified by World Music Awards. don't believe whoever said she isn't.

Celine Dion has the most AC entries of this decade as well as the last,according to Billboard.

The single "Tout l'or des hommes" also made radio history by establishing the record for becoming the highest charting Francophone single on the National CHR Audience chart in the BDS era in Canada.
