October 16, 1990 Théâtre Saint-Denis, Montreal (postponed)

The Gazette (October 16, 1990)

Singer Celine Dion has developed laryngitis and has had to postpone three Theatre St. Denis performances scheduled for this week, DKD Productions announced yesterday. Tickets for tonight's show will be honored at a rescheduled concert on Tuesday, Oct. 23. Tomorrow night's concert has been moved to next Monday, and Thursday's concert has been moved to Wednesday, Oct. 24. Performances this Friday and Saturday will be presented as scheduled, DKD said

October 22, 1990 Théâtre Saint-Denis, Montreal

October 23, 1990 Théâtre Saint-Denis, Montreal

October 24, 1990 Théâtre Saint-Denis, Montreal

But I'm not sure whether she gave the October 19-20 concerts or not.

November 11, 1990 Théâtre Saint-Denis, Montreal

According to Passion Celine Dion she also gave a concert at the Grand Theatre de Quebec on December 6, 1990.

The Gazette (December 20, 1990)

Celine Dion tour suspended

On the advice of her doctor, singer Celine Dion has postponed the rest of her concert tour for a two-month period, effective immediately. According to a communique from promoter Donald K. Donald, Dion is still suffering the effects of a bout with laryngitis, coupled with exhaustion from a series of performances at Theatre St. Denis. Performances in Quebec City, Sherbrooke, Ottawa and Trois Rivieres, scheduled for January and February, will be rescheduled in the spring

March 8, 1991 Arden Theatre, St. Albert (source) (review)

There is an article published on the Calgary Herald on March 10, 1991 titled "Dion Gets Crowd Dancing in Aisles", so I guess the concert in Calgary could have been on March 9.

According to this file, her debut concert in Calgary was a show for 117 people. Maybe it was this concert.

March 11, 1991 Walker Theatre, Winnipeg

Here's the ticket!

March 15, 1991 Winter Garden Theatre, Toronto

On May 19, she started a tour of Quebec (37 concerts in 25 cities/towns according to the official biography).

According to Passion Celine Dion she gave a concert at the Grand Theatre de Quebec on June 4, 1991.

June 19, 1991 Montreal Forum, Montreal

August 1, 1991 Festival des voiles de Longueuil - Marie Victorin Waterfront Park

August 3, 1991 Vieux Port de Quebec

On August 28 and 29, she was scheduled to perform in Sept-Îles and Baie-Comeau.

I don't know if those 37 concerts include the festivals/free concerts where she sang.

August 25, 1991 Canadian National Exhibition Grandstand (Michael Bolton / Celine Dion / Oleta Adams) (source)

October 9, 1991 Cardinal Cushing Auditorium (at Mount Saint Vincent University), Halifax

It seats 700 people. It was her first concert in Halifax. Mike Robinson was the opening act.

Francois Massicotte opened 75 concerts for her in 1990-1991. (source)

There are many dates missing.

Thanks :thumbsup2: They are the same, but it includes more additional dates in Montreal and Quebec. We don't know if some of them were cancelled later because of her vocal problems.

Max24: the dates of October and November in Quebec and Ottawa weren't included on Wikipedia. Was it you who updated that page?

However, 8 dates were cancelled due to her vocal cords damage; January 25, 26, 27, 28, 30, 31 and February 1, 2 1991.

So, all told, she performed 9 concerts: October 30, 31, November 1, 2, 3 and December 6, 7, 8, 9, 1990. She later perfomed 4 additional concerts in June 1991 which I posted above.

I have finally found a source for the March 1991 Canadian dates. This RPM article provides confirmation for two dates and venues we didn't have: March 5 and 9. The March 8th show is not on the list which is strange because the article was published on March 2nd, less than a week before the date. March 8th was on the theatre's website archives and there is a tweet from September 12, 2019 where they posted some pics from that concert. Link: https://twitter.com/TheArdenTheatre/status/1172242914191249408

Source: http://rpmimages.334...ch 2, 1991.pdf.

This is the complete list:

March 5, 1991 Orpheum, Vancouver

March 6, 1991 Jubilee, Edmonton

March 8, 1991 Arden Theatre, St. Albert - Edmonton (Opening Act Crystal Plamondon)

March 9, 1991 Performing Arts Center, Calgary

March 11, 1991 Walker Theatre, Winnipeg

March 15, 1991 Winter Garden Theatre, Toronto

So I know this doesn’t have anything to do with dates of the tour per say, but I found something on eBay that claims to be a DVD of this tour, but the seller doesn’t seem to know a lot. I’ll link below and you guys can let me know what you think. https://www.ebay.com/itm/325578656213?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=8so-hou7Tla&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY Edited by Abodi2002

I would guess it’s just her show in Toronto at Winter Garden.

Just found out that Céline performed an acoustic medley with some major gems during a show in Sherbrooke back in 1991. This comes from this short article shared by Celine Dion Performances on Instagram earlier today.

English translation:

Wearing a black dress, Céline performed thirteen songs and two encores. The Unison album made nearly half of the setlist. Special mention to the new acoustic version of three old hits: Fais ce que tu voudras, Mon ami m’a quittée and D’amour ou d’amitié. Interesting!

Tournée Européenne in Paris (December 1, 2013)

Céline Dion Live 2016 in Antwerp (June 20, 2016)

Céline Dion Live 2017 in Birmingham (July 27, 2017)

Posted
Never heard of this. Think that was around the time she lost her voice. Is any setlist before that known? We know I'm Loving Every Moment with You was in the set for at least one show.
