Jackson’s tour to become tribute concert
Madonna among possible high-profile singers to perform in place of pop star

The show will go on for Michael Jackson’s “This Is It” tour.

The announcement was made at a June 26 memorial gathering for Jackson, held by the tour’s cast and crew.

According to a tour organizer, one performance will now be held in September and will be a replica of what was planned for “This Is It” in London.

High-profile singers are expected to perform in place of Jackson. Among them, possibly Madonna, who was expected to appear at one of Jackson’s shows in London. A firm decision has not been made as to where the tribute concert will take place, but it’s likely to be in Los Angeles.

I vote for earth song. It would definitely be appropriate (no dance routine, universal theme, choir in the back). It would be awesome.

Nooooon, pas "You are not alone", c'est sûrement la chanson la plus kitsch de Jackson et j'ose à peine imaginer ce que ça donnerait avec l'articulation nasale de Céline...  :ermm:

Les chansons les plus appropriées pour Céline seraient "Heal the world" ou "Earth song". Ou un truc vraiment rock, "Give in to me" ou "Dirty Diana".

But here are many many other songs that she could perform, like "heal the world" and "you are not alone"

Je verrai bien Earth Song, c'est une de mes préférée. Après, pourquoi pas Thriller? Après tout.... mais je pense que cette chanson là sera plus pour Timberlake.

J'ai remarqué que lors des hommages, Céline s'est souvent contentée de reprendre des chansons qu'elle avait déjà chanté par le passé ("Sorry seems to be the saddest word" pour Elton John, "Quand on n'a que l'amour" pour Jacques Brel, etc), elle pourrait peut-être nous refaire un petit coup de "Bad" avec la perruque et la choré!
