For the Love of a Child
When I was young, I had family galore.
They would hold me up and play with me on the floor.
I had lots of brothers and sisters you see,
And they all used to fight as to who would get to hold me.
When I was five, on the kitchen table I did sing,
While my siblings would do the dishes, I would do my favorite thing.
As days and years did pass by, it was to my mother that I did cry,
I do not want to go to school; all the kids to me were very cruel.
I hate school so much I just wanted to hide.
Please, oh please mom can't I stay here by your side?
A little bar my parents did own,
And it is here were I felt at home.
With the stage, the lights and customers delight,
Then there was a fire during one very cold night.
Right there and then I thought my life was over,
But one night with cigarette in hand my mother would start over.
My Mother, my idol, my dearest one
When I hit the age of twelve she wrote my first song.
She took out some paper and a pencil in her hand,
And started to write a song for me that was just grand!
Such strong love for a child you do not always see,
But from my family it was given so free.
The song was the best, it was better than bought,
Mom called me over and asked what I thought.
I was so surprised, I started to cry.
It was the very first time my mother did try.
In front of the mirror is where I would sing,
Janis Joplin, Credence and Aretha Franklin
Hairbrush in hand as my microphone.
I would sing in a crowd or sing alone.
A manager my mother did find,
But the first one was of the worst kind.
It was Rene' Angelil who would come and save my life,
And unknown to me then, later in time, he would make me his wife.
With Angelil in charge, my career started out
And everywhere we went my praise he did shout.
When I was on stage everything felt just right,
I would sleep during the day and sing at night.
I won many awards and contests too,
Flew through the clouds that were a gorgeous blue.
Sang in many countries that I would not have seen
If singing my whole life were not my dream.
I've eaten wasabi and landed on the floor
But when I got up there was laughter galore.
I have learned many lessons about show business
And once a question I was asked got me caught in a mess.
Throughout I have met musicians, Producers, Record Makers, and friends
And many, many fans from all different lands.
They follow you through thick and thin,
And they touch your heart way deep within.
There have been up times and some down times too,
Like when my dad had passed they where there for me too.
My greatest reward so far in my life, is when Rene made me his wife.
He's my Manager, my lover, my friend so dear.
But there was a time when I had the scare of my life,
When Rene had his heart attack and cancer too, it caused us much strife.
He said he was scared and now needed me more,
Then he ever did in his life before.
I prayed hard to God and asked that Rene be spared,
There was more to life that we wanted to share.
We hoped someday to have a child of our own,
And God provided us the way, and our son was born.
It is through loving and caring that all things grow,
God told us that two thousand years ago.
All children are endearing, precious and from above,
And the main lesson we need to teach them is first how to love.
It matters not if we have fortune or fame,
The real joy in life is to pass on your name.
A name tells more of a persons repore,
Then all the books you can buy in a store.
As you know, it is a honor, to be chosen by God,
To carry this precious baby inside your bod.
As he grows he sucks his thumb, hiccups and stretch
He is the only one who will this close to your heart in your chest.
But knowing he's snuggled right next to your heart,
It is the greatest way for a love relationship to start.
Your heart and his beat as if one,
Your insides feel as warm as the sun.
His very life runs through your veins,
And giving birth is a most joyous pain.
For when your labor is finally through,
You can relax, stretch and enjoy him too.
Hug him and love him and keep him close to your chest
For as you and Rene know, God gave you His best.
With your honesty, caring for family and fans alike,
You will see someday he will pick up your mike.
The singing he will do when he is out on the stage,
In your diary Celine, you will fill every page.
As you honored your mother, he will do it to you,
For all the love you gave him, he will give it back to you.
You and Rene will stand by and smile
As you watch him play concerts in the grandest of style.
It will be for the hungry, homeless and poor,
That he will earn money for them from shore to shore.
Celine, you do have a lucky star,
It is Karine loving you from afar.
You loved her like a mother,
though you were just a child.
As Karine laid dying in the hospital bed,
You gently had your arm under her head.
She told you those things that she held so dear,
As you sat beside her and sang gently in her ear.
Your sister, her mother, was sitting by her side
And as Liette watched you, all she could do was cry.
You remember Karine as always being in pain,
But in the end she knew in Heaven she would reign.
Yes Celine, Karine did take a piece of your heart,
So while she is in Heaven with dad, you will not be apart.

“There’s nothing I love more than the romance of a night in the theater.”

I thank you for your comments. I was woken up at night and I feel this poem came from God and not me. Yes I know there could have been better words in places, but they just didn't come to me. I have been hit eight times in 14 years by other cars and with my head being hit so many times I have lost some of my cognative abilities.
I just hope they like it.

DO NOT STEAL MY SIGNATURE
"It's hard in a recording studio, because I'm infront of a microphone, I have to imagine all of you and then I'm able to sing the songs for you...Now I'm still infront of a microphone, with all of you right infront of me, to see all of your faces, That's why I still do it!" (wild applause) thankyou for the flowers - Celine after a flower moment 9-22-08

I didn't take it as being rude so please except my apologies. Just for kicks if you want to put the words you think would have gone well, go ahead. The original is already on its way to them. I sent a special note asking the staff to let Celine and Rene open the envelope with the poem in it. Usually their staff for the fan mail gets opened by someone other Celine and Rene.

从明天起, 关心粮食和蔬菜. 我有一所房子, 面朝大海, 春暖花开.

God speaks to me all the time. In fact about a month before Rene had his procedure, God told me to write to Celine to tell her that this time has to be spent concentrating on her family (immediate) only and that time was of the essence; then I read where he was having a problem.
He speaks to thousands of people, but you have to be listening and know that it is God speaking.
