I was wondering what the added value is of being a Team Céline member.
The only advantage of membership I am noticing, is the pre-sales for shows and concerts.

What happened with Team Céline (TC) during the years? I was away for many years, but Céline got me back to where I belong, which is in her crowd ;-)

I remember I was a TC member in 1997-1999, and I remember membership was based on a yearly amount. I remember begging my dad to use his creditcard, to pay for it.

I remember, being a member, I’d receive some goodies in the (analogue) mailbox. Some photos. A newsletter. A gold membership card...

What happened to all of this?

Everyone can be a member now, without paying. Everyone can sign up and get the pre-sales codes.
Is there a TC-only content on the official website? Because I seem not to find it.

So... again... what is the added value of Team Céline... and being a member, besides from the pre-sales codes...

I remember when I joined Team Céline in mid 2009 it was still a yearly amount (I think 60€), and they still had exclusive material for members. Not as cool as the newsletters, photos... etc. from the 90s but still some cool in-studio videos, making-of photoshoots... etc. A few days after I joined TC they sent me a member card (with Celine's Taking Chances cover photo on it), a welcome letter and a Céline Dion bookmark.

I think it was late 2010 when Team Celine became free and all the possible added values to the fan club became just the pre-sale codes and e-mails to let fans know when Celine starts her next series of shows.


I believe Team Celine really started to go down when Sony Music bought it (don't ask me when but sometime during the late 90s).

How I wish the good old days could come back!

Team Céline was very good in the early 2000... We got a birthday present in the mail every year and sometimes random gifts in the mail. Very cool!

Simple: the only benefit is the pre-sale now. And even that's questionable. They don't have to create exclusive content anymore coz they're free. They only want your e-mail addy's and they're happy.

Yes if you’re interested in pre-sale tickets for seats at the back of the arena or stadium then Team Celine is definitely for you!

And it's good that it's free to be there.

And the benefits of being V.I.P.
unfortunately have only a chosen few fans group.

Trying to remember. We got a 5 cent nickel neckband, A New Day mousepad, postcards, notebook and pen, reading light and some other stuff.

60 euros or dollars was for 3 years. A year would be 25 dollars, 3 years would be 60. The best time for being a TC member was when you could win tickets and travels to see AND...! And you'd even get a meet and greet! I don't think it lasted the full run though.

I bought the TC memership a few weeks before it became a free fan membership, so I didn't get a birthday present but a welcoming gift for joining the club. It was a postcard, a keychain and a club card with my name on it (like a Credit Card). Looks pretty cool but has no use

Yeah I remember that one. I was going to mention that we got a CD sampler but I was like nahhhh that was too good to be true haha. But yeah I loved that one!!

Oh and with the paid fan club subscription you got 10% off concert tickets (real good seats ) and 10% off merchandise in the Boutique in Vegas!

Did some of you received it? Nevertheless, I think that was really generous of them and it was a great period to be a fan.

Yeah! I remember getting that one!

And I also remember the discount on good seats for concerts, and indeed the discount in the Céline shop. Which actually was not a shop, but a folder that was sent to you, and you could scribble down the catalogue numbers on an order form and send it (by mail, including the begging dad for the credit card again.....), and then waiting by the mailbox.... forgetting about it after a few days... and then totally surprised by the TC mail a few weeks later.

I remember getting a pen, writing paper and envelopes.

You ask what happened to it, all these years? That it has nothing to do, by far, to what it once was . Because it went free, of course.

Remember the year (2002) when they gave you a CD sampler as a gift for renewing, including TWO unreleased tracks (at that time)? THAT was an exclusive, and a gift for the fans, and not what they do today (mostly only offering presale tickets, and even that's VERY questionable since they DON'T always offer the best seats... )

But without the tickets in advance, many would not even get tickets. Don`t you book your tickets via TC with the code `?

I remember the Chrysler postcards when she was promoting the car.-IDAN was used for most of the commercials.

Haha like some of you guys i resurfaced my TC account to check for presales.. only to be likewise disappointed that it's now pretty much perk-free

I think I was one of the last ones to pay too.. got a dinky (but treasured) pencil case stamped with her name in a generic font

The old TC was great, even though we paid for it. We'd get all kinds of little gifts and surprises. I loved the gold colored snowflake with the "Celine" logo on it. There was a special section for TC members on the website, the ticket discount and seating was good, along with the discount in the store and boutique. Last time I went to Vegas I don't think I used the TC seats, they weren't good.

I find those lyrics shirts soooo cheap. It's always the same cheesy songs. Her design team have no inspiration at all!

I would LOVE it if they made some vintage Unison/Celine Dion shirts with those old pictures!
